Spent a lovely weekend at silvercraigs campsite. The facilities are cracking, clean toilets and shower cubes (albeit the shower doesnt stay on long and needs pressing about every 15 seconds but no biggy) good washing up area and for us campers in tents without electric very thoughtfully there is a kettle, charging point for phones and frige provided which was fabulous for all our goodies bought in the local wine & cheese shop. Staff were helpful and friendly offered recommendations on pubs and eattery. Great views over the town. Not sure if the campsite can take credit for this but all of the site guests were genuinelly so nice and friendly - made all the difference. Would recommend for a short stay.

Great campsite, great location, good price. Ideally situated for getting into town, with views of the surrounding hillside. All the facilities you could need. Mostly campervans, with space for tents as well. Only minor downside is it can be tricky finding a completely flat bit of ground to pitch your tent.

We stayed for 5 nights camping at the end of May. We were super lucky with the weather as really sunny and dry. Campsite excellent with some extras that make it so easy to camp. A fridge and charging points for phones. The two things that can be difficult for camping. A lovely site with ample clean toilets/ showers. A great location, easily accessible to the town, and any further exploring you might like to see. Can recommend Brighouse bay or Mossyard bay for great beaches near by. Good for paddle boarding too. We will definitely be back.

A few problems trying to book online, so I phoned and got through to a friendly gentleman who took my booking over the phone. The site is centrally located with great views over the town of Kirkcudbright. A path takes you onto the town centre and a conveniently located Tesco and some food takeaways. Would recommend the Masonic Arms for a drink and to meet the locals. The facilities were spotless. Very happy with the site and shall return again..
