Bolster Moor Barn
Kirklees
Golcar sits in the landscape between two of England's most walked uplands, making it a natural base for exploring moorland, valleys and riverside paths. Bolster Moor Barn is a converted stone building that keeps its character—beamed ceilings, mullion windows—while delivering the space and comfort a large group needs. It sleeps 10 across four bedrooms: one with a super king and two singles, another with a super king, a third with a zip-and-link bed (two singles on request), and a fourth with two singles. Three bathrooms serve the bedrooms, with an additional shower room on the ground floor.
The main living spaces are open plan, with the kitchen leading into a dining area and a beam-and-stone sunroom beyond—the kind of room where you'll naturally gather. There's a pool table for evenings in, and enough seating to sprawl across when you want quiet. The hot tub sits in the enclosed garden where dogs can roam safely. You get parking for four cars on the property. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, and one pet stays free. The pub and farm shop are both within walking distance, so you needn't rely entirely on self-catering.
No smoking indoors. Check-in is after 15:00, check-out before 10:00.
