SUPER CLEAN FACILITIES. The first thing I want to know about a campsite is if the toilets and showers are decent, which they are. They're super clean, no dirty floors, clean toilets/showers. The staff are very friendly when you arrive. There's a shop at the entrance and a café at Sherwood Pines which is only a short walk. The pitch sizes are great. The only negative thing I have to say is we decided to treat ourselves and not cook any tea, we opted to try the food vans on the Friday and Saturday. The pizza on the Friday was great, they were very popular but gave us a time to come back and collect. The fish & chips van however...this was served as you queue and the waiting time was absolutely ridiculous. They mentioned they could only fry so many portions of chips at a time and obviously most people in the queue were ordering for a full family and more. I totally understand about the frying time but the wait was too long and I don't think it's the most feasible food truck to have for a campsite. Felt like we spent most of our Saturday evening stood in a queue for some chips. The rest of our gang had their teas whilst we waited in the queue as the kids were hungry. Will definitely stay again as it's a fantastic site but will take tea for the Saturday evening next time as we've learnt our lesson.

We had an amazing stay at this campsite and would highly recommend it. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and exceeded our expectations. Everything was organized and looked after to a very high standard. The staff were absolutely brilliant – friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. Their excellent customer service made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely return in the future. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Our first visit the sherwood pines campsite in April. The drive in from the main road and through the forest is absolutely stunning. The site itself was very busy and as such the facilities were a bit grubby but nice and fresh first thing on a m morning. Great pizza van and fish and chip van visiting which everyone seemed to enjoy and there was always a queue. The play park is great as well as access to the new pump track. We also enjoyed 10% off at GoApe which we rode our bikes to in under 5 minutes. We would definitely consider visiting here again in the future.

Our 2nd visit to Sherwood Pines and we will be back. We were in our motorhome and this time on grass pitch. Walks direct from the campsite and cycle paths etc. Facilities are very good, the block is in the centre of the site so ok for wherever you are pitched. The children's play area is also in the middle but maybe that would benefit from being on one side of the campsite in maybe a family area.
