POTUS

Probably the highlight of this hotel , everything else is a huge let down. Staff here are super friendly (even though they appear to work a ridiculous number of hours ) , really efficient as well. Interesting photos surround the restaurant, think they are of POTUS visiting the UK , so quite historic. Can't fault the food either at breakfast or lunch, could do with more variety at breakfast and be quicker refilling the usual hotel style buffet . Still 5 star though , just a shame the rest of this Hyatt is bit of a let down . This restaurant was the highlight which is so wrong when paying nearly £700 for a 2 night stay !!

Wonderful restaurant inside the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The smoked salmon was delicious. Tasted very fresh and the capers and lemon paired with it was very nice. The lentil soup was very good. The Angus burger was horribly overcooked. I usually have a burger medium well. They cook their burgers to well done and over cooked it to the point of being a rock. It was very dry and they should reconsider cooking it to Medium well. Other than that, everything else was delightful.

Absolutely shocking experience from start to finish. We came to celebrate my cousin’s birthday and the entire evening was ruined by the appalling service and attitude of the staff. The team were rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in providing even basic customer service. We were treated like an inconvenience rather than paying guests, with every interaction feeling like we were bothering them just by being there. To make things worse, when we politely asked for a simple birthday touch like sparklers for the cake, we were bluntly told they “don’t do sparklers” with zero effort, zero alternatives, and zero care. No attempt at all to make a special occasion feel even slightly special. It honestly felt like the staff had no interest in hospitality whatsoever. For a place that serves customers, the lack of respect and basic courtesy was unacceptable. A completely disappointing and embarrassing experience. We left frustrated and won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

⭐ 1/5 Stars Terrible Service – Uninterested, Rude My visit here was completely ruined by the service. From the moment we arrived, they showed zero interest in looking after us. It took ages to get any attention, and every interaction felt rushed and dismissive. Their attitude was openly rude and judgemental — as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Simple requests were met with impatience, short answers, and visible annoyance. There was no basic courtesy, no attempt to be helpful, and definitely no effort to make us feel welcome. Even if the food had been great, this level of service would have spoiled it. I won’t be coming back and can’t recommend this place to anyone who expects respect and decent treatment.
