A 16th-century coaching inn in Ledbury with cosy en-suite rooms above a bar and restaurant serving French and British food.

About Seven Stars

Walk into a room at Seven Stars and you get the feel of a proper old inn: cosy, characterful quarters with en-suite bathrooms, set within a 16th-century building on The Homend in Ledbury. Drinks can be brought straight to your room, and free WiFi and 24 hour reception cover the practical side of things.

Downstairs, the restaurant and bar serve French and British dishes, and breakfast is included, so there's little need to head out before you're ready. Herefordshire's countryside is close by, with walking and cycling routes nearby, and the Malvern Hills and Eastnor Castle within easy reach for a day trip. Pets are welcome, and the town itself has further pubs and restaurants to explore on foot.

It's a straightforward base for exploring Ledbury and the surrounding hills, built around a genuinely old pub rather than a modern hotel shell.

Wow, I'm surprised that there's not a queue out of the door for this place. Excellent service, beers and food. Beautifully presented dishes, generous portions, the pork starter was as big as some mains I've had. And the quality of the ingredients was superb. Well done chef. Cosy old fashioned interior.

My friend and myself were on a coach trip in the area. After a fruitless search for somewhere to eat we came upon The Seven Stars. What a gem! Attentive service, nothing too much trouble. I had the bubble and squeak, my friend the asparagus. I also had the lemon posset complete with white chocolate shard and WARM shortbread! The best food I have had in a very long time. Lovely wine too. The server took the trouble to show me the bottle so I could see the brand. All in all a fantastic place, service, wine and food!!

An absolutely superb little place, From the moment of check-in. I’ve been looked after by a gentleman called Lucas. And the hotel room itself was absolutely incredible, but on top of that the food was some of the best food I’ve had in quite a long time
