Didn't stay here so can't comment on the rooms. Cosy very old Inn, nice beer garden with benches, umbrella's and lovely flowers around it. Only called for a beer, very hot outside and needed a thirst quencher. Had a nice pint of pull Ale called Butty Bach, very nice. Staff & locals very nice and friendly.

We recently held our wedding at Eastnor Castle and recommended our guests stay here. We also hosted a post-wedding celebration at the The Talbot, with the hotel happy to provide a buffet for our guests also. On the post-wedding event: The Talbot provided excellent service throughout, and a special shout out to Tom (the deputy manager) who since day 1 was as accommodating as could possibly be. In hosting the buffet, the team made it virtually frictionless to organise and gave us exclusive use of the restaurant area without even having to ask or pay an additional fee. The food was delicious and they allowed our wedding party to take over the beer garden for a whole day of celebrations (again, at no additional cost). It seemed to me they were just happy for the custom and did everything they could to make the day a success. On the rooms: The whole property is characterful with authentic period features still in tact. I wouldn't describe the rooms as overly frilly, but they have everything you need, are clean and spacious. Given how hot it was, they provided fans for the room also (note: there is no AC). Thank you to The Talbot Hotel and team for everything you did to make for a perfect end to our wedding celebrations!

The food was excellent, really good, the bar full of life, the rooms spacious and clean... however it's the staff that make this place... what a warm welcome we received when we arrived. The staff were just brilliant. And the place is very dog friendly.
