About Arena Village - Campus Accommodation

Arena Village - Campus Accommodation puts guests within reach of Leeds' bars, restaurants and entertainment venues, with a golf course also nearby for anyone wanting to fill a free afternoon. The Jacob Street location works well for exploring the city on foot or hopping onto nearby transport links, making it a practical base rather than a destination in itself.

The property offers 100 en-suite rooms, kept simple and functional in the style of campus accommodation. A lift serves the building, and practical extras include luggage storage and a laundry service, useful for longer stays or anyone travelling light. There's a kitchen on site and a gym for guests who want to keep up a routine while away from home.

Note that there's no parking available at the property, so those arriving by car will need to factor in alternative arrangements. With pubs, restaurants and eateries all close by, though, guests are well placed to eat and drink out rather than rely on the kitchen, and the surrounding entertainment options mean evenings need not be dull.

I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! From the moment I arrived, everything was handled with care. The room was comfortable and clean, but what really set this experience apart was the incredible hospitality. I want to give a huge shout-out to Sid for his exceptional work. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and made sure every part of my stay was perfect. Whether it was a quick request or general assistance.

the staff here are so friendly, and arena village is in such a convenient place, it is very accessible to get into the city. there is staff always at reception which makes it very helpful. the maintenance are so helpful and are lovely, mark fixed a problem I had in my bathroom the same day, and the problem was fixed very well, he’s also very friendly, and always says hello when I’m on my way past reception. I used to live in a different accomadation, but this is deffo the better one, for staff & convenience.

I spent 5 Months from February to July 2022 at Arena Village. My time at Arena Village was good mainly because of the proximity to the Merrion Center, Bus stop, the Gym and Eateries. My room was spacious, and had lots of storage spaces. One major thing I really have enjoyed about the accommodation is the great attention from the staff, they are very helpful and things are repaired almost as soon as you complain about them. I also liked that my parcels could be delivered to them and I pick up whenever I return. The Wi-Fi works excellently as far I am concerned and had no issues connecting my multiple devices. I moved here in winter and the heating worked well and the window blind is also thick enough to block out the daylight. The under bed storage is a huge plus for me. The elevators work fast and you don't wait too long. I always had to use the elevators because I stay on the 19th floor, however, the elevators are often dirty and this is expected since so many people live in the building, but the elevators and common areas especially the elevator areas of the rooms are often not cleaned regularly and I noticed there is only one cleaner for the entire building which means the cleaning can't be frequent or thorough. I think the study area and the Gym should be downstairs in a more ventilated area so they don't feel claustrophobic. The staircase and the basement where the washing machines are could use a makeover as they are quite creepy. Also, there should be like a major industrial cleaning between tenants moving out and in especially the bathrooms, as the tiles and mirrors seems permanently stained. They take good care of the students and arrange several activities to engage with students. All in all, I will give the accommodation a 3.3 Stars ratings, I mean it's not the Marriot, but you believe me that you will definitely be getting your money's worth especially international students who need a place to stay on arrival to the University.
