About The Wrens

A bar on site sets the tone at The Wrens, where guests staying the night can pick up discounted drinks rather than heading straight out into Leeds. It's a useful base for anyone planning an evening in the city, with the property's own address on New Briggate putting plenty of other pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach.

Rooms are fitted with en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee stations and towels provided, and family rooms are available for those travelling in a group. Staff are on hand around the clock via 24 hour reception, and free WiFi and luggage storage are included for guests coming and going during their stay. Some visitors have noted that noise can carry, particularly given the lively New Briggate location, so it's worth bearing in mind if you prefer a quiet night.

There's no parking at the property, so it suits those arriving by train or on foot rather than by car. Beyond the bar, the surrounding streets offer restaurants, pubs and a golf course nearby, making it a practical spot for exploring central Leeds without needing to travel far.

Great little pub. I haven’t stayed in the hotel so can’t review that - but the pub below is friendly and cozy and a good combination of contemporary and traditional design. But what really made me leave this review was the barmaid who asked if I had been to the theatre: I told her no but I was going to a gig at Belgrave Music Hall … to which I was given a discount on my drink! Apparently if you show tickets for the theatre nearby you will get a discount I’ll definitely be coming here again and thought this was a generous and kind offer in this day and age.

The hotel is walking distance to the local shops, and a couple hundred metres away from the Grand Theatre. The room was clean and had a tea/ coffee making station. Very comfy bed, good sized bathroom. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed for a night in Leeds to go to a gig. The bartender was called Kaci and she was friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were adequate - what you pay for. Staff make the place ultimately. X

Lovely pub. Great for staying in if you've got an event at the arena to attend. Nice big room with everything you need. It is loud at night with music playing into the early hours. They do supply ear plugs so i strongly advise you use these. Guests get a 15% discount at the bar which is a brucey bonus 😀
