What guests say
I stayed at the Ibis Styles Leeds while in the city for work, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. The hotel’s central location made getting around incredibly easy—most of my meetings were within walking distance, and there were plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby for quick lunches or evening meals. The room itself was modern, clean, and surprisingly quiet for such a central spot. The bed was extremely comfortable, which I really appreciated after long workdays. I slept well every night, and that alone puts this hotel high on my list for future trips. Breakfast was another highlight. There was a good variety of options, everything was fresh, and the dining area had a relaxed, bright atmosphere that made for a nice start to the day. Overall, Ibis Styles Leeds delivered exactly what I needed for a smooth, productive business trip—comfort, convenience, and great value. I’d happily stay again.

Update: Hello, I would like to clarify something after seeing ur response. I have no issue with guests needing to go to the front desk in person to provide information—I fully accept this requirement. My concern is not the procedure itself, but the rigid designated time. I also do not find the front desk staff’s attitude unbearable. In fact, every time I extend my stay at any hotel, I always complete the extension formalities when I return to the hotel after going out. On that day, it was exactly 12 noon and I was still in my room. What if I had been out at that time? Would you have asked me to come back just to handle this? That is why I told the staff I would head down two hours later, which I believe is a perfectly reasonable request. Does your hotel’s official policy mandate that guests must be present at the front desk sharp at 12:00 noon to process the stay extension? Nevertheless, I appreciate your reply. It would be great if the hotel could offer more flexible processes. All the best! ——————————————————————— Original Comment:Perfectly situated in central Leeds, the hotel is clean and tranquil. Most staff members are courteous and patient. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of food, and empty dishes are restocked without delay. The overall ambiance of the hotel is pleasant. I originally booked two nights and extended my stay for an additional two days. On my second day, I needed to collect a replacement room key. At noon, a front desk staff phoned me and demanded I come down to the reception right away. I explained that I had fully settled my accommodation fee the two days I extended already and I intended to head down in two hours. However, the staff member claimed my booking could not be retrieved from their system. I offered to provide any personal or booking details to help her look it up, yet she only repeated that I must come downstairs immediately, mentioning the housekeeping team was waiting to clean my room. I clearly stated that I declined room cleaning service for the day, but she kept pressuring me to show up instantly due to the missing booking record. Frustrated, I told her this issue is not my problem and hang up the phone. This unpleasant incident was extremely unusual, and I have never encountered such unreasonable demands during my any hotel stays. Moreover, even though I hung the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, two separate housekeeping staff knocked on my door within one morning to inquire about cleaning services, which greatly disturbed my rest. Another drawback is that the windows in the room cannot be opened.

We've had an amazing at ibis Styles Leeds Centre Arena, and the perfect greeting/check-in we got we we arrived (Thank you Dawn). We normally just go for a small room and claim it’s just somewhere to sleep, but the room you gave us was a perfect refuge for our 30th anniversary, and I can’t see us settling for anything less. So thank you again, we really appreciated what you did for us, and we’re going spread the word how fantastic your hotel is 😇

Stayed here for 4 nights as a solo traveller. First impressions were not great, check in receptionist was really unfriendly, no politeness or friendliness at all. Basically threw the room key at me. No have a nice stay etc. My room was really small. Bathroom especially. It was nice enough, but tiny. Breakfast was the biggest problem. All the 'hot' food was cold everytime I tried it, bacon and sausages especially. Bacon was folded over when cooked so some parts were burnt while others hardly cooked. Poor choice of cereals. Nothing healthy. I wanted to tell these comments on check out. But staff were quick to take my key. No courtesy comments at all.
