About Days Inn Leicester Forest East

Set beside the busy stretch of Hinckley Road on the edge of Leicester, with the M1 close at hand, Days Inn Leicester Forest East is built for travellers passing through the Midlands rather than for a lingering countryside break. It makes a practical base for reaching Leicester itself or heading further afield around the region.

The hotel has 89 rooms spread across three floors, served by a lift, with family and accessible rooms available. Rooms are generally clean, spacious and comfortably furnished, though some can run warm, so it's worth bearing that in mind. Breakfast is served on-site, along with a restaurant and bar for evening meals and drinks, and there's a nearby eatery for those who fancy a change. Free WiFi runs throughout, an electric vehicle charge point is fitted, and on-site parking is available for a fee. Pets are welcome, and staff are consistently described as friendly, helpful and professional.

Overall this is a no-frills stopover that delivers good value rather than luxury, well suited to those needing convenient road access into Leicester and the surrounding Midlands.

I've stayed at this Days Inn for over six weeks in total because of work, and the hotel is always clean. The staff are exceptional—friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They really are the hotel's biggest asset. My only criticism is the temperature of the rooms. They've always been very hot, and during warmer weather they become almost unbearable, especially on anything above the ground floor. If you struggle with heat or are going through menopause, this is something to consider, as it can make sleeping very difficult. Overall, the staff and cleanliness are excellent, but the lack of adequate cooling in the rooms significantly affects the comfort of the stay.

Stopped here with my two children (2 and 4) for the night to break up the journey. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfy. I would definitely use again. Great value for money. It was free to hire a cot with a sheet.

The hotel is nice and tidy. The rooms are also clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are good, albeit very compact and very little space to move around in. The shower is brilliant. However, the rooms are quiet small. There are no drink amenities, such as tea/coffee/drinking water. Also, the flooring is hard and not carpeted. All in all, a comfortable one night stay.

Room was ok cleaning wise, however on one of the hottest days, walking into the rooms, was like walking into a sauna. So hot and they supply no fans, aircon or anything. Asked reception if they had anything to help as had my puppy with me, and he was struggling with the boiling hot room to get a response of ‘not really my problem’. I know it isn’t the hotels fault of the weather but atleast supply things to help. As this made it seriously hard to sleep and feels that it is unsafe for dogs to be in the rooms due to temperature.
