About The Bluebell Inn and Lodge

Food and drink sit at the heart of The Bluebell Inn and Lodge, a compact inn on the High Street in Leicester with its own restaurant and bar for meals and evening drinks without needing to head out. Breakfast is included, and guests can also have drinks brought straight to their room, which suits anyone who prefers a quieter night in.

With just five rooms, this is a small, personal sort of place rather than a large hotel, though it still offers touches such as porter service and luggage storage for those passing through. There is a garden for relaxing outdoors, and the property can also host weddings and meetings, with function space available for both. Pets are welcome, so travelling with an animal isn't a problem.

Free on-site parking is a practical plus in a city-centre location, and there are pubs, bars, and further restaurants nearby for anyone wanting to explore beyond the inn. Airport parking and transfer options are also available, making The Bluebell Inn and Lodge a straightforward base for visiting Leicester.

Service was relatively poor got ignored by 2 members of staff left waiting at the bar for a drink for over 10 minutes and no other customers waiting. Staff were to busy talking and replenishing the fridge. Won't be in a rush to go back.

My friend and I visited after being tempted by the menu for weeks and we had a wonderful experience. The menu was varied but not too overwhelming as sometimes restaurants can have too many choices! We loved the wide selection of burgers, pizzas, loaded fries and small plates too. I ordered ‘The New Yorker’ burger and my friend ordered ‘The Fajita’ burger. The burgers arrived and we were absolutely delighted with the portion size, presentation and selection of food. Admiring the skin-on fries and crispy onion rings, we dug in and adored the flavours of the burgers. They were second to none. I felt that I could taste the quality of the food, which was a real positive. Importantly, the service was also brilliant. Michael was lovely, welcoming and attentive. After we ate, we chatted for a while and enjoyed the atmosphere of the pub! Overall, we had a really positive experience and we will 100% return! Thank you all!

Very nice Village pub. Good areas in front of house for outside area sitting and a separate area on the other side for smoking. Always busy, staff are friendly and helpful. The only food I have had was a very tasty Pizza which both I and my wife enjoyed. You do need to book if your eating in as this always seems busy too. Once a year in August ( over the late bank holiday )the pub supports the Scarecrow festival Weekender, there is fun areas for children , and lots going on including live bands and this is a great day. Recommend a visit.
