What visitors say
I love art galleries, will always make time to visit wherever I going. Today I’m in Liverpool and a must is the Walker Art Gallery. They’ve got some great paintings. You could spend hours looking around this. Today there were a few rooms closed but that wasn’t a problem as there’s so much to see. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic art on display, including some very famous pieces. It's a shame some of the incredible pieces are so high that you can't see them with the light glare and distance. Downstairs had no discernable theme, I was confused as to why there was a fashion exhibition next to crockery and ornaments, which themselves came after a display of sculpture replicas. Upstairs the directional flow is a confusing but I think we managed to see it all.

Beautiful museum with a great range of collections and culture! Notable favourites were ‘Landscape with a Hermit’ and ‘Spring in St John’s Wood’. I mostly want to mention a man who works there named Arthur, or Old Arthur as he introduced himself, a wonderful and incredibly intelligent man! If you get the chance to meet him definitely have a conversation! Having worked as a historian in China he is very knowledgeable not only about history but also about art and the stories behind paintings!

The Walker Art Gallery is a beautiful and underrated gem in Liverpool. The collection is diverse and impressive, ranging from classical paintings to modern and contemporary works, which makes the visit interesting and well balanced. The galleries are calm, well curated and easy to explore at your own pace, perfect for appreciating the art without feeling overwhelmed. The butterflies were beautiful and my fav part 🤍The building itself is elegant, the entrance is free, and the atmosphere is peaceful, making it a great stop for art lovers and anyone looking for a cultural experience in the city.
