About Llansawel Agored
Countryside scenery and outdoor activities galore… that's the case at Llansawel Agored, a scenic and spacious family-friendly site in the Carmarthenshire countryside. At this 20-acre area without a road in sight and red kites often passing overhead, it's just as easy to get down to relaxation as it is to get stuck into activities run by the site.
With the river Cothi nearby and the Twyi and Teifi, Usk Reservoir and Brecon canal within driving distance, canoeing and paddleboarding are both on the go. On land, there are bushcraft, yoga and mindfulness activities to book onto. Clear night skies are a regular occurrence here too, so you might fancy indulging in a spot of stargazing at night. There's free firewood available for those wanting to get a properly ambient evening on the go with a firepit, and the pitches are well spaced out, so you'll have a fair bit of privacy for it.
In terms of facilities, there's a composting toilet on site, plus a shower and washing-up area. When you're ready to potter on down to a pub, there's just the spot a 15-minute walk away. The nearest shop is a little further, at around 15 minutes' drive.

What visitors say
We have just had a lovely holiday here. Large pitches, hot showers, kitchen shelter and your own compost loo. Rhys is helpful and welcoming. Lots of forest walks close to the campsite and places to visit in the car.

Ryhs is an absolutely lovely bloke. We called him last minute to arrange a site for our tents, got a response within minutes. When we arrived he was there to greet us with a friendly smile and handshake. Got to talking about our trip and plans for the next day, where he made great recommendations and even sent links despite being in a rush! Site is absolutely stunning, with views of the surrounding landscapes. Best maintained compost toilets ive ever used. We spent a lot of time at the Angel Inn, where the locals greeted us like old friends, and stayed til well after closing drinking, chatting and singing. Honestly I cannot say enough positive things about the camp site. Definitely gonna return here soon!

It’s a super chilled and relaxing site. We chose a plot with a cooking shelter which also functioned as a games and reading space. It was simple and rustic but more than adequate. If you’re happy to go eco and use composting toilets then it’s great. Easily one of the best campsites I’ve been on in 20 years+ camping around the uk. Showers and washing area were very good with hot water. The surrounding area is quiet and very beautiful. Rhys is friendly and gave us some ideas of what to do in the area and made himself available, though we didn’t need to contact him during our stay.

We spent 2 nights here over half term week with our 2 young boys and had a great time. Rhys has thought really hard about how to create a peaceful camping experience. The pitches are generous and well spaced with great views of the surrounding countryside. Our pitch had a kitchen area which we found extremely useful. Also worth mentioning that there are really solid and large wheelbarrows to carry your stuff from the car park. We'll definitely go back next time we're visiting the area
