About Calon y Cwm
Tucked into a 100-acre working farm on the edge of Cilycwm village, Calon y Cwm offers non-electric grass pitching with views across the Mynydd Mallaen plateau and the babbling Gwenlais river. It's a properly peaceful spot – ideal for walkers and mountain bikers who want quick access to the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, just ten minutes up the road, or the Cwm Rhaeadr trail five minutes away. Facilities are straightforward: running water, portable toilets, showers and a drying room for muddy kit, plus secure bike storage.
The site welcomes dogs year-round and allows barbecues, though there's no hot water on tap. Llandovery, ten minutes' drive, covers supplies, cafés and a medieval castle ruin, while a couple of local pubs sit even closer. It's a small, low-key setup that suits those after scenery and trails rather than frills.

What visitors say
Excellent camping if you want peasant peace and away from commercial camping. There was lots of attention and thought put in to what families needed . The owners were famous and friendly. This is definitely worth a visit

Great little campsite! We cycled through here on the GB Divide and found a great place to camp for the night. Hot shower, fridge, tables, benches, chairs, kettle, everything there. And of course not to forget: great hosts. Thank you!

Just come back from our stay here and have to say it was so lovely! The owners were so friendly, Bunty very good with the children and they even got us our milk save us going out with the children. There was a kettle, microwave, hairdryer, fridge, and freezer there which was great. Also it's so nice that the shower was so clean too. There was a stream that the children played in for hours and as for peacefulness goes you can't beat it, the walks around the village were lovely too, so quaint. Just wonderful, can't recommend enough!!
