About Elsinore Hotel Llandudno
St. George's Crescent looks straight out over Llandudno's seafront, and it's this position that gives Elsinore Hotel Llandudno its main appeal. The Summit Complex sits nearby as a local point of interest, and the wider North Wales coast is on the doorstep for anyone wanting a walk along the promenade or further afield along the shore.
The hotel has 30 rooms, including family rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and a kitchen area, with drinks and room service available for those who'd rather stay in. Many rooms make the most of their position with sea views, and beds are comfortable. That said, maintenance is inconsistent, and some rooms show their age more than others, so it's worth keeping expectations realistic. Breakfast is served each morning and has a genuinely warm feel, while the on-site restaurant and outdoor seating area cover other meals. Staff are consistently friendly, and reception is staffed around the clock, with luggage storage on hand for early arrivals or late departures.
Beyond the hotel, the area suits golf, fishing, cycling and watersports, and there are pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. There's no parking available on site, so those arriving by car should plan accordingly.

Sorry to say I did not enjoy my stay at all - I was in room 209. Pigeons: - As soon as I entered the room, I heard scratching sounds which concerned me, turns out it was pigeons because I could immediately hear pigeon cooing noises. The scratching was them walking around - not sure if there was a nest right above the room, but it was very noticeable. It was around 3pm when I checked in and I could hear them until I left for dinner. After returning the noise had gone down, but got woken up by them at 5am and literally could not go back to sleep because it was so loud - extremely annoying. Bug/fleas: - I noticed a few really tiny bugs crawling around the room - not sure if these were fleas. I only realised when I woke up in the morning that they were also in the bed, so I’d been sleeping with them 🤮 Bed: - Low quality mattress so not a comfy sleep, and had a small blood stain. Wifi: - There’s no wifi in the rooms, it’s only available on the ground floor. Data signal in the room was pretty poor. Shower: - There was a “Caution: hot water” sticker, but I didn’t realise it meant there was no way of changing it! The temperature dial did nothing, so it was so hard trying to shower with boiling hot water. The shower drain must have not been cleaned/unblocked for a while because the shower basin was filling up with water very quickly. Breakfast: - Extremely underwhelming - wouldn’t describe it as a continental breakfast at all. It’s literally your choice of eggs on toast. I picked scrambled eggs and despite being the third table to arrive for breakfast, it took 35 minutes for them to give a plate of scrambled eggs. I had to chase for my food 3 times before getting it - the rest of my party had already finished their food before I received mine. Keycard: - Very random but the hotel name on the back of the keycard was for a completely different hotel... The only positive is the location given it’s right by the seafront, and close to the town, which is why I've given it 2 stars. I honestly couldn’t wait to get out of that hotel - glad my stay was only for 1 night!

Please , don’t book this hotel !!! I never recommend this hotel to anyone especially you are coming with a family. We booked this hotel along with my family including my two year old daughter. Before our arrival, we requested a 9:00 PM late check-in, and the hotel confirmed by email that they were happy to accommodate our request and would make the necessary arrangements. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 8:40 PM and waited in the TV lounge. The reception was closed, but we expected someone to arrive between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM, as stated in the hotel's email. Unfortunately, nobody came. We repeatedly rang the emergency bell, called every contact number available for the hotel, and also contacted Booking.com customer support. None of our calls were answered. As a result, we were left wandering around an unfamiliar city with our 2 year-old daughter until approximately 12 PM. We desperately searched for alternative accommodation, but because it was so late, we were unable to find anywhere to stay. We had no safe place to rest, no access to toilet facilities, and nowhere for our exhausted child to sleep. It was an extremely frightening and distressing experience for our family. Finally, at around 12:15 PM, a member of staff appeared. We were given the room key at approximately 12:30 PM, and we were only able to enter our room after midnight. No apology or explanation was offered for the delay or the distress caused. The following day, I spoke with the hotel manager LEE to explain everything that had happened. Unfortunately, instead of listening to our concerns professionally, he was rude, dismissive, and arrogant throughout the conversation. He repeatedly denied everything we explained and tried to make it appear as though we were being dishonest. He refused to accept any responsibility for what had happened and instead claimed that hotel staff had been present, suggesting that we had simply failed to see them. This was completely untrue. The manager showed no empathy for the serious inconvenience and emotional distress caused to my family. My young daughter witnessed the entire conversation and became very upset. Because of everything that happened, all of our plans for the following day were completely ruined. Instead of enjoying our family trip, we had no choice but to cancel our plans and return home. This was extremely unfair and completely unacceptable. Before leaving the hotel, I politely requested a written explanation regarding the incident. However, the manager refused to provide one. We left the hotel in tears, feeling helpless, humiliated, and deeply disappointed. We felt that no responsibility had been accepted and that we had been denied even the basic courtesy of an apology or a proper explanation. We left the hotel literally crying because I never felt this helpless in my entire life. Please , don’t go there.

Dreadful experience. Given room 110. Bed was broke in half and repaired with a piece of old wood and some screws. Completely unacceptable. Complained at front desk who claimed to not know. Later found out he'd booked my friend into same room earlier (he also complained). Wanted to charge me an extra £70 to change my room. After a lengthy delay and call to his boss, he agreed to change room, but only on condition that i left a review online. Happy to oblige. Disgusting, avoid at all costs. Update. Bed appears to have been in that condition for over 9 months based on a previous review. Outrageous.
