About The Clontarf Hotel

The Great Orme is within easy reach of The Clontarf Hotel, making this a sound base for walking its slopes or exploring the coastline around Llandudno. The surrounding area also offers golf, fishing and watersports, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby, so there's plenty to fill the days beyond the hotel itself.

The Clontarf Hotel is a family-run Victorian guesthouse with nine rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, and family rooms available for those travelling together. Rooms are kept bright, and guests have access to free Wi-Fi and drinks in the room. A hot breakfast is included, packed lunches can be arranged for days out, and there's a bar on site along with a garden to relax in. Reception operates around the clock, and a laundry service is available for longer stays.

Pets are welcome, and free on-site parking makes it straightforward to come and go, whether heading out to the Great Orme, along the coast for cycling, or into town for the shops and restaurants. It's a practical, comfortable choice for a Llandudno stay rather than a grand one, with the details of a proper guesthouse looked after.

Fabulous!! I stayed at the Clontarf Hotel in September with my Cockapoo puppy, Cooper, for two nights. Joni & Mark were fantastic, the hotel is amazing, great breakfast (and a sausage for Cooper), lovely room and very close proximity to the West Shore. Within less than two minutes, you can be walking on the beach. There are many hotels that say they are dog friendly & they are maybe “dog tolerant” but at the Clontarf Hotel, my dog was made as welcome as the human guests. Mark & Joni are dog lovers and it shows! I will definitely be staying again!

We enjoyed a short break in July in room no. three. Every room is individually decorated, as is the entire hotel in a Victorian style manner with a modern twist. Breakfast was rich and tasty. Dogs are welcome. Joni and Marc are warm and welcoming hosts. Very recommendable.

This was a fantastic bed and breakfast/hotel! Absolutely 10/10. The owners are friendly, give good recommendations in the area, and were all around great hosts. The room we stayed in (Stylish Super King Deco) was well decorated & fun, the bed was comfy, the location is on the quieter/less touristy part of the island, and the breakfast was consistently good each day. No notes - couldn’t imagine a better place to stay.

Beautiful boutique B and B. Lovely rooms, comfy beds and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is excellent and more than enough for a great start to the day. Llandudno is very nice and a great kicking off point for trips around the North Wales mountains and coastal towns. 2 minutes from the beach and dog friendly.
