I spent three days at the hotel and was very pleased with my stay. I don't understand the negative comments at all – in my opinion, they're exaggerated. The hotel is in a great location – practically in the city center. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was given a key card so I could return at any time I wanted. I booked a single room, but I got a double – which I'm grateful for, a huge plus. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. It's worth noting that the hotel doesn't have an elevator or air conditioning. But this information was included in the booking, so I'm not lowering my rating. I recommend it!!!

Really enjoyed my stay at Barry House. The staff were very kind and helpful, the room was clean, and the location was perfect for exploring London. Everything I needed was nearby, especially Paddington Station. Great value for money and a comfortable stay. I would happily come back in the future. Highly recommended!

Great location near Paddington station and Hyde park. My room’s window was broken to the point it would not shut; it had tape trying hopelessly to seal the gap 😂 This obviously affects insulation and noise. Very cramped shower, which was a little disappointing for a shared shower. It was fine in cool weather, but I can imagine this tiny room on the top floor getting unbearably hot on a hot day.

Very disappointed with our stay. The sheets were dirty upon arrival, and there was no bath mat provided, so every shower left the bathroom floor soaking wet. The shower drain also did not work properly. One night we found insects on the bed, and the next morning I woke up covered in bites. The floors were dirty, and much of the furniture and walls were damaged or broken. I understand that for the price you cannot expect luxury, but basic cleanliness and comfort should still be provided. Unfortunately, this was far from a decent stay. I felt extremely uncomfortable during the entire visit and honestly could not wait to leave and get back home.
