About Hyde Park Radnor Hotel B&B

Hyde Park's open lawns and paths are within easy walking distance of Sussex Place, and Paddington Station is close by too, making the Hyde Park Radnor Hotel B&B a handy base for getting into and out of London. Horse riding can be arranged nearby, and there are pubs, restaurants and other eateries within reach for evenings out, along with entertainment options scattered around the area.

The hotel occupies a Victorian townhouse and offers 36 rooms, including family rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Rooms are kept simple and functional rather than luxurious, with drinks available in room and a lift for getting between floors. Free Wi-Fi runs throughout, and breakfast is included to set guests up for the day.

Practical extras include luggage storage for those arriving early or leaving late, and concierge services on hand for local recommendations or bookings. It suits travellers who want a straightforward, central place to sleep rather than a destination in itself, with Hyde Park and Paddington doing much of the appeal.

Small but fresh and clean rooms. Only gave us 2 of everything inc towels despite booking for 3. No coffee and tea left in the room. Great location for Hyde Park concert which was why we were there. Service was a little mixed. Some staff very helpful, others less so.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately this stay was very disappointing. The biggest issue was the room temperature. There was no air conditioning, only a small fan that barely moved any air, making the room extremely hot and uncomfortable. On top of that, there was no refrigerator available for my medication, which was a major inconvenience. The cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. The shower had mold and even hair left behind from a previous guest, which made it feel like it hadn't been properly cleaned. Another frustrating issue was the lack of working outlets. Out of all the outlets in the room, only two actually worked, making it difficult to charge our phones and other devices. Getting ice was also surprisingly difficult. The small ice machine produced only a few tiny cubes at a time, and I had to wait around 10 minutes just to get enough ice. That said, I do want to recognize the staff. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely sweet. They were always polite and did their best to help, and they were easily the highlight of our stay. The location is also excellent, which is another strong point. Unfortunately, despite the wonderful staff and convenient location, the condition of the room and lack of basic amenities made this a disappointing stay. I hope these issues are addressed because the hotel has potential, but based on this experience, I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I hardly ever write reviews, but our experience at this hotel was certainly a first for me. I am not a high-maintenance traveler, but during our three-night stay, we ran into several issues. The first night went smoothly; the rooms were tight but cozy. However, the bathroom was noticeably grimy and the TV remote was sticky. The beds were clean. On the second night around 9 PM, the radiator began making a loud hammering sound that shook the entire floor. The night clerk, though very kind, struggled to explain the situation or offer any reassurances. Yet, after an hour, he managed to fix it with a "trick." Unfortunately, the sound woke us up again at 6 AM. No one was at the front desk when I went down, so I had to ring the bell multiple times - which made me feel awkward. I eventually found the clerk on the basement floor. He was super kind and tried his best, but when the "trick" didn't work this time, we were moved to a different room. This second room was much larger and cleaner... but the TV remote was still dirty. There also happened to be loud jack-hammering construction happening right outside the window - which was no direct fault of the workers, of course. I NEED to emphasize that despite this chaos, the staff were SUPER nice - especially the woman I spoke with later that second day (who I believe is the manager). She proactively offered a full refund for that night before I even asked. It gets 3 stars because it is inexpensive with fine rooms and wonderful staff. It isn't a 5-star stay because it doesn't feel 100% clean, and I never felt entirely relaxed while worrying about the radiator or past reviews mentioning pests.

During our Christmas holiday in London, we stayed at Radnor Hyde Park Hotel, and it was a very pleasant and family-friendly experience. Our children were given a room directly opposite ours, which we really appreciated and which made our stay extra comfortable as a family. When we mentioned a smoke smell in the hall. The issue was addressed immediately and professionally. This was handled very well and gave us a lot of confidence in the service. The hotel has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and feels very suitable for families. Breakfast was simple but more than sufficient exactly what you need to start a day in London. Overall, a great family hotel in a very convenient location. This is an experience we happily take back home with us to the Netherlands, and we would definitely consider staying here again on a future visit to London.
