About Delta Hotels Bexleyheath by Marriott

Set along the Broadway in Bexleyheath, with the shops and transport links of the town on the doorstep and Danson Park, Greenwich and the Kent countryside all within reach, Delta Hotels Bexleyheath by Marriott makes a practical base for exploring this corner of Greater London. The five-storey hotel holds 142 rooms, including family rooms and accessible options, many with balconies and views over the surrounding area. Rooms are clean and comfortably sized with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi, though some are showing their age rather than feeling freshly refurbished.

A restaurant and bar serve breakfast and evening meals, with kids' meals and room service available, and a snack bar for something lighter. The on-site gym, business services and meeting rooms suit both leisure stays and work trips, while concierge and luggage storage add convenience. Staff are consistently noted as friendly and professional, and breakfast is a particular strength.

Chargeable on-site parking is available, useful given the hotel's location on a busy town-centre street, and pets are welcome. A pub, restaurant and golf course all lie nearby, adding options beyond the hotel itself for those staying longer.

I am giving this hotel a 3 star because the place isn't ideal for summer at all. We couldn't sleep, no air conditioning. It was hell, the hotel is beautiful but they need to replace those damn old Ac's they have and put better ones. I am going to fight for a refund because my night there was traumatic. We were sweating during breakfast too, non of there ACs is strong enough for the heat wave

It was the help of the staff that actually allowed us to manage the hotel for the length of our stay. We had soo many issues starting with the systems being down for couple days at the begining of our stay, the A/C system shutting down during the hottest days of the summer; thankfully when we asked for ice, they were friendly about giving it each time and we were also given fans. We had multiple issues in our bathroom that could not be fixed unless moved to another room. The gym needs a major upgrade. Positives were the preassure from the shower was nice and strong, the room was overall clean, breakfast was good. Staff really tried their best to makeup for the inconveniences.

My stay at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Bexleyheath, UK, from June 22–29, 2026, was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. This was actually our second time staying at this hotel. While last year’s stay wasn’t perfect, it was acceptable enough that we returned for a family wedding. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disappointment. The biggest issue was the lack of functioning air conditioning. During one of the UK’s hottest heat waves in decades, with extreme heat warnings in place, the hotel repeatedly insisted the AC was working—but it simply wasn’t. The rooms and common areas were unbearably hot. We were given fans, but they did little to help. We spent as much time as possible outside the hotel—in shops or riding in Ubers—just to cool down because we simply could not stay in our room for long. Housekeeping was another major disappointment. We were told that rooms are serviced only once every three days, but even then, the service was poor. Dirty cups, used plates, and trash were often left behind. Towels were not replaced unless we specifically requested them, and our shower gel dispenser remained empty, forcing us to use hand soap to shower. To make matters worse, housekeeping left a note intended for another guest in our room. That may seem like a small mistake, but it raises concerns about attention to detail and guest privacy. Customer service at the front desk was equally frustrating. Staff were often dismissive and unhelpful. Whenever we requested basic items, we were told to go find housekeeping ourselves instead of having someone bring them to the room. That is not the level of service I expect from a four-star Marriott property. We were also told the hotel’s systems were down, and despite the many issues throughout our stay, there was no meaningful effort to improve our experience or offer any form of compensation. Many of our friends and family staying at the same hotel experienced similar problems. We paid good money expecting the standard associated with the Marriott brand, but this hotel fell far below those expectations in comfort, cleanliness, and customer service. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves one. Unless significant improvements are made, I cannot recommend this hotel. If you’re planning to stay in the Bexleyheath area, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. Very disappointing.
