About Grand Junction Arms

Grand Junction Arms is a traditional pub hotel on Acton Lane, the kind of solid, characterful building that anchors a neighbourhood, close to Willesden Green with straightforward access into central London. Behind its classic pub frontage sits a hotel with proper facilities: a restaurant, bar, gym, spa and sauna, indoor swimming pool, meeting rooms and lift access, along with air conditioning and free WiFi throughout.

The kitchen serves up hearty pub classics, including a Sunday roast, alongside a broad range of beers and cocktails from the bar. Outside, a spacious beer garden and a set of private huts fitted out with music and board games give the place a sociable, relaxed edge, and staff are consistently described as friendly and attentive. Breakfast is available on-site, and porter and concierge services are on hand for anything else guests need.

Practicalities are well covered too, with free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charging point, plus luggage storage for those heading onward into the city. The property also handles weddings and events, and its location keeps guests within easy reach of local restaurants, bars and entertainment beyond the pub itself.

I celebrated my birthday here with more than 30 guests and had a fantastic experience. We hired the room between the garden and the main pub area. Although it serves as a walkway between the different spaces, it worked really well for our group. The retractable roof is a great feature and can be opened on sunny days and kept closed if it's raining. So perfect for British Summer's. The staff were incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and made the whole process feel effortless from start to finish. The food was delicious, and our guests consistently complimented the pub, the service, and the quality of the food. It's a little on the pricey side, but the atmosphere and setting felt relaxed, warm, and inviting—something that's not always easy to find in London. The location was also convenient and easy for everyone to get to. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place for a celebration.

We booked a table for a meal and catch up not knowing there was a huge football game on. As we couldn’t get to our table due to big crowds a very helpful member of staff (young man from Liverpool) got us tables and chairs in a quieter area. He is an outstanding employee and we thank him for his help.

🚇 Harlesden 🍺 £6.60 Pravha The Grand Junction Arms is located on the border of Harlesden and Park Royal in northwest London. The nearest station is Harlesden. This pub was built in 1861 on the site of an earlier beer house. At the time, it was known as the Grand Junction and Railway Inn, reflecting the importance of both the Grand Union Canal and the rapidly expanding railway network in the area. During the inter-war period, the building was substantially altered with the addition of a new façade, which included the striking green glazed tiling. Today, the pub is operated by @youngspubs . This is a reasonably sized one-bar pub that has a traditional feel with some bold decorative features. The bar area is set around a central servery, with a series of interconnected seating areas. The decor consists of a boarded floor, deep green walls, contemporary artworks, a 1930s fireplace, and plenty of seating. To the rear is a large canal-side beer garden, with extensive outdoor seating overlooking the canal. The beer selection was solid, with a range of familiar favourites to choose from, including one cask ale. I decided on a Pravha; my pint was great, and the price point was a smidge above average. Food-wise, it’s burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and sides. A double beef patty with melted cheese, pink onions, and burger sauce costs £13. Roasts are available on Sunday. I arrived just after 4pm on a sunny Saturday afternoon in March. The pub was fairly quiet inside and packed in the beer garden with a predominantly younger crowd enjoying the warm spring weather. I settled inside to enjoy my pint and take in my surroundings. The service was first-class; the team on duty were really friendly and easy-going and clearly enjoyed what they do. This was a very enjoyable visit indeed. I loved the architecture and the comfortable surroundings; my pint hit the spot, and I was well looked after. The beer garden is fantastic and a great spot for a pint by the canal. An excellent pub — get it on the list. 📅 21st March 2026
