About Hilton London Metropole
Spanning 24 floors, Hilton London Metropole is one of the capital's larger hotels, with 1,100 rooms set on Edgware Road close to Paddington Basin. Its scale means guests get the full range of amenities you'd expect from a big city hotel, from air conditioning and room service to family and accessible rooms with en-suite bathrooms.
On site there's a contemporary restaurant with a relaxed feel, a cocktail bar, and a gym, along with an indoor swimming pool for guests who want to unwind after a day out. Breakfast and kids' meals are available, and facilities extend to meeting rooms and business services, making it as suited to work trips as leisure stays. Laundry, luggage storage and concierge services are all on hand, and pets are welcome.
The surrounding area offers plenty of restaurants, pubs and entertainment nearby, plus good options for walking and cycling. Chargeable on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point make arriving by car straightforward, while the hotel's position near Paddington Basin keeps the rest of London within easy reach.

Gib in Executive Lounge is amazing, he looked after us extremely well. Check in was poor arrived at 2.10pm and told room ready within the hour, given a key for lounge and at 3.25pm asked a lounge attendant to check as the key was going to be delivered to the lounge. He was told that the room was ready but we had to go back to reception to collect the key. At reception the guy said he was giving us time to relax, not appropriate! Being Diamond gave us a one category upgrade, the room was small and basic but clean so fine we thought until the lift arrived and we could clearly hear the noise of the lift arriving. On day two we arrived back at the hotel after a day exploring in order to get ready to go to a show but the room hadn’t been cleaned! We were promised it would be done at 5pm when we were leaving again. On showering we realised the shower gel was empty, they said it would be filled. The next morning on showering the gel was still empty! It was more like Fawlty Towers than a Hilton. Gib was the saving grace on this trip! We loved the location and the lounge but the rest leaves a lot to be desired!

The hotel is beautiful and very safe! The stuff at the breakfast restaurant speak Mandarin very fluently and welcome us very friendly! We forgot to take passport and cash in the safety box and the stuff Mehdi and Chief kept all of our belongings in the sealed bad and returned everything to us. We felt so lucky and grateful and really appreciated for their kindness and professionalism! We will definitely return to this hotel in the future!!

This was my first time staying at the Hilton London Metropole. I was impressed. The staff are polite, welcoming and efficient. I particularly want to mention Gibreal who looked after my husband and I so wonderfully well in the Executive Lounge. We stayed in a Standard King room which was well laid out and comfortable. The air conditioning was both quiet and sufficient. I stay in a large number of hotels here and abroad where this is not the case. I found being in this hotel relaxing. This is what I want most of all from any hotel stay.

The location of this place is impeccably good. The underground is nearby and there is plenty to do up and down Edgware Road in terms of food options. Oxford Street is also walkable which is a great stretch of shopping options available for all different types of needs. As for the hotel itself, checkin was smooth, the rooms were as expected for a Hilton. This hotel is large enough for holding large scale conferences and programs which is what it seemingly targets moreso than the individual guest experience. If you’re looking for a simple bed and breakfast as your standard then this beats it, and if you’re looking for a premium experience then there are better options. We chose this place for the convenience of accessibility and would come back again. The breakfast buffet in terms of options was surprisingly pretty good, which was much appreciated.
