About Langham Court Hotel

Langham Street sits in the heart of Fitzrovia, a stretch of central London within easy reach of Regent's Park and Baker Street Station, making Langham Court Hotel a convenient base for exploring the city on foot or by tube. The surrounding streets mix quiet residential terraces with plenty of restaurants, bars and entertainment nearby, so there's little need to travel far for an evening out.

The hotel has 56 rooms, and while some are on the smaller and more traditional side, they come with modern bathrooms that guests tend to appreciate. Facilities extend well beyond the bedrooms: there's a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast served daily, free WiFi, air conditioning, a gym, an indoor swimming pool and a spa with sauna. Business travellers are catered for with meeting rooms and business services, while porter and concierge staff are on hand throughout the day.

A garden offers a spot to sit outside, and the property also operates as a wedding venue for those planning a celebration. Airport transfers and luggage storage add practical touches for anyone arriving with cases in tow. Staff are consistently noted for being welcoming and helpful, which goes some way to making up for rooms that won't win prizes for size or modern decor.

Look, hotels don't have to be perfect, but they do have to be honest. We paid over £400 for two nights and left feeling genuinely disappointed and duped. At that price, alongside the marketing images online, we expected a hotel that reflected the price, bright with a sophisticated, albeit historical charm. Instead, we found a property that feels tired, poorly maintained, and seems to only pull from its location. The room itself (Executive Double) is an acceptable size, but the bed is one of the smallest doubles we've encountered in a hotel at this price point, with only one bedside table, making the room feel poorly thought-through.This is despite our room being advertised as "executive", which feels misleading. Much of the furniture is visibly worn, with chipped wood, obvious signs of age, and drawers that are falling off their brackets when opening them. Our room overlooks the glass roof of the basement dining room and a service alley, which only adds to the feeling that this isn't the standard that we'd paid for. The lift is out of service, we had to call reception simply to access the Wi-Fi (as this is what is advertised on the TV info), and the hotel as a whole feels dated and lacking the level of care you'd expect for the rates being charged. (Think an unloved living room). None of these issues alone would have ruined our stay. Together, however, they leave us questioning how this can hotel justify its pricing and marketing. We don't expect perfection, but we do expect value for money, and we simply didn't receive it. We leave feeling that we paid a relatively high price (yes, even for London) for a distinctly average experience. Sadly, we will not return, and it would be dishonest of us to recommend it to anyone when there are better-maintained hotels nearby at a similar price.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed here for my birthday whilst seeing Paul Simon. Room was spotless and comfortable. Well stocked with toiletries and hot beverages. Breakfast was wonderful and relaxed. Coffee was delicious. Had a coffee in the bar before my room was ready and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Comfortable surroundings to relax in. Check in and check out were easy. Lovely hotel. Great staff.

We stayed for six nights here recently. We had a double room on the first floor, which I would describe as 'compact'. We had an issue with coathangers, but that was quickly resolved. Everyone we spoke to in the hotel was very friendly, especially the cleaning and reception area staff. The staff at reception were kind enough to print out paperwork for us and order taxis. The Gem is in a great location, just a short 10 minute walk to Oxford Street. It is well served with bars, restaurants and local shops, creating a nice atmosphere.

Passable. Good location is the only positive point of the hotel. Definitely not a 4 star hotel either. Not the most welcoming atmosphere when we got there i have to say. The Bed was hard as a rock, we had a noisy room with music booming till 1am Breakfast was average but the staff where friendly serving it. Overall a disappointing visit as was for an 18 birthday trip. Id requested prosecco ahead with the cream tea but this was not offered or available upon arrival. We didnt get the cream tea at all!!! I feel this hotel also needs some redecorating as our bathroom had mould all over the walls and ceiling and in this day and age we shouldn't be subjected to this due to health reasons.
