Avoid Premier Inn New Southgate at all costs. Paid £270 for 2 nights and walked into a full-blown bed bug infestation. Not exaggerating. Within minutes of lying on the bed I felt bites, looked down, and saw a fat, blood-filled bed bug that had clearly just fed on me. Killed it… then noticed MORE. Different sizes. Crawling out across the bed like it was normal. At that point I’m thinking okay, this is serious, they’ll sort it. Nope. Went to reception and got hit with the most useless, scripted response imaginable: “Nothing we can do. Call guest relations in the morning. We’re fully booked.” Read that again. There are bed bugs literally feeding on your guests and your solution is… call someone in the morning? No room change. No alternative hotel. No taxi. No urgency. Not even a proper apology. Just shrugged it off like I was complaining about the WiFi. I had already unpacked my clothes onto the bed, which now means everything I own is potentially contaminated. Anyone who knows bed bugs knows how bad that is — they spread, they stick to your belongings, and they cost a fortune to deal with. I left immediately. Didn’t stay the night. Didn’t sleep. Just got out. This isn’t just poor service — it’s a health issue and a complete failure of basic standards. I expect: * Full refund * Compensation for belongings I now have to deal with or throw away * Some actual accountability instead of corporate nonsense Genuinely one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Stay there if you want… but don’t say you weren’t warned.

Excellent first time stay at Premier Inn New Southgate after a long day. Sonila was so helpful and went out of her way to assist us. She was particularly kind to my young son and we really appreciated her help. The hotel is modern, clean and quiet. On-site parking is reasonable £8 for 24 hours.

Not a picturesque spot but great for the purpose. The 5th floor room was fabulous, with beautiful views and a bathroom with a tub. Bar is fine with a 5-9pm Happy Hour. Reception woman was very kind and warm; Mantas and all other staff excellent.

Absolutely loved my stay at Premier Inn New Southgate! The hotel was incredibly clean — honestly much cleaner than other Premier Inns I’ve stayed at before. The room, bathroom, and everything inside were spotless. The staff were amazing and super welcoming. They even surprised us with balloons and a variety of lovely snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch and really made my day. Highly recommend this branch if you’re staying in North London — great service, very clean, and a really nice atmosphere. Well done to the whole team!
