About Sapphire Hotel
Sapphire Hotel suits visitors after a straightforward, no-fuss stay rather than a polished getaway - it's best booked by people who care more about location and price than fresh paintwork. Set on Shepherds Bush Road in Greater London, it puts guests within easy reach of public transport, local shops and nearby restaurants and pubs, making it a practical choice for short city trips or one-night stopovers.
The hotel has 14 rooms and includes a restaurant, bar and breakfast service, along with free WiFi, air conditioning and drinks available in room. There's also a gym, an indoor swimming pool, a garden and a lift, plus business services, concierge and porter support for those travelling for work or needing a bit of extra help with luggage. Free on-site parking is available, which is a genuine plus for a London hotel of this size.
Beds are noted as comfortable, and the location near transport links and shops is a consistent draw. That said, some rooms have been found poorly maintained, so this is a place to book with expectations set on value and convenience rather than polish. For travellers prioritising an easy, affordable base in west London, it does the job.
What guests say
My experience at Sapphire Hotel London was very disappointing. The hotel did not match the photos shown online at all. The rooms were extremely small, uncomfortable, and had a very unpleasant smell. The place did not feel suitable for a comfortable stay. There was also no proper reception area — just a chair and a computer — which gave a very poor first impression. When I decided not to stay because of the condition of the property, I was still charged £90 as a cancellation fee, which felt very unfair considering the quality of the accommodation. I honestly do not recommend this hotel. There are many better, cleaner, and cheaper options in London. Very poor customer service and overall a bad experience.

I stayed at the Sapphire Hotel on Saturday 28th February for one night while attending a concert nearby. The room itself was small, but it was clean and tidy, which is always the main priority for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable enough and everything appeared well maintained. There were no issues with cleanliness during my visit. Amenities, however, are fairly limited. Basic in-room facilities are minimal — for example, even simple items such as a spoon to stir coffee weren’t provided. There is no on-site catering or breakfast service, so you’ll need to make alternative arrangements. Fortunately, there’s a Sainsbury’s Local directly across the road, which is very convenient and fills that gap. Overall, this hotel worked well for what I needed: a straightforward, no-frills place to stay that was close to the venue. If you’re looking for a practical overnight base in a good location, it does the job. Just be aware that it’s a simple setup rather than a full-service hotel experience.

Pictures online are a bit misleading. Rooms are exceptionally small. No air conditioning (maybe typical for Europe but be aware). Plus we were placed in the 4th floor walk up! (We are in our late 60s/early 70s!) Stair carpet was filthy. I would not stay here again.

Under no circumstances stay at this place. I warned about a late check in. Everyone was fine with it. The manager confirmed a late check in fee. Which was fine by me. But half an hour until I had to arrive the guy at the reception who was left there for the night told me that he wants to sleep and he is going to bed and I can book something else. At 2 am. When I arrive precisely at the time when I had to. Nobody answers the phone and no one is at the door. So I had to stay on the street for the night. The guy said that that he hates low coster flyers ( tho I wasn’t flying lowcoster) and said he didn’t care how should I resolve the issue. The police said that this place is a dump and no one should stay there as well. Not the first time. I hope booking at least refunds me.
