About Springfield Hotel London
Eighteen rooms spread across five storeys is the shape of the Springfield Hotel London, a compact hotel on Sussex Gardens within reach of Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Each room comes with its own en suite bathroom, and the building's modest size means guests deal with a straightforward, no-frills set-up rather than a sprawling complex.
A full English breakfast is included, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout, along with air conditioning and drinks available in the room. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar on site, plus a gym, spa and sauna, and an indoor swimming pool. There's a garden, luggage storage, laundry service and concierge assistance, and the property can also host weddings. Free on-site parking is provided, useful given the central London location, and airport transfers can be arranged.
Sussex Gardens puts guests near Paddington Station for onward travel, with Hyde Park within walking distance for those wanting green space. Nearby streets offer further pubs, bars and restaurants beyond the hotel's own dining room, making it a base geared towards practical, well-connected stays rather than destination luxury.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. It wasn’t very clean... the floor had not been hoovered in the room, the shower head was caked in lime scale that looked mouldy, the room was cold. Full English breakfast was self service of fried egg, bacon, beans and toast. There was also cereals. Juice, tea and coffee was available. If you need sweeteners take your own as wasn’t any available. The good things about this bed and breakfast was the location was convenient and the staff were friendly. Only stay here if you have no other option. I won’t be staying here again due to the cleanliness.

The reception staff were polite and helpful and the location of the Hotel is very convenient. However cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms need to be improved. This hotel is reminiscent of accommodation on offer in London in the 1960s which is a shame given that it is in a beautiful building on an attractive square. The bathroom had not been cleaned and the carpet not vacuumed. For the price you don't expect luxury but you do expect cleanliness and a properly maintained building.

First of all, when we arrived there was no one at the reception, the lady that was supposed to be there was "locked" in a room and another client had to get her out. What she was doing is not certain. The stairs were horrible and the back patio was filled with thrown-out furniture. Our room had a dirty and broken carpet, our shower was missing one third of its door so the water was getting out and soaking the carpet. The bathroom is plane sized and the bed was horribly noisy and uncomfortable. The window weighted a ton, was really hard to manouver and didn't really cover noise whatsoever. The walls were half painted and the TV cord was dangling around. The only good thing about this hotel is the location, breakfast was decent. Thankfully we only booked one night.

Apart from the location of the hotel itself, which depends on what you want to do during the stay, rest of the things about this hotel is very disappointing. Starting with accommodating a child in a double room, which is ridiculously small for even 2 adults, eventually they did putting a small bed, they had different name and reservation number in their system, extra charges for parking (of course in London nothing is free!!, but is even honesty not free), English breakfast, but veg was not good. the dining area is too small. Not a single electric fan or ventilation in the room, keeping the window open so much of traffic noise and whole night it was loud, couldn't sleep well, dungey room, smallest bathroom in my stay ever, bad shower pipe, smelly cupboard. I would never select this hotel in future.
