About The Black Lion
Walk into one of the 14 rooms at The Black Lion and you'll find them well kept and neatly decorated, with the kind of spotless finish that makes a straightforward night's stay easy to settle into. It's a traditional pub-inn setup on Kilburn High Road, so the rooms sit above and around a working bar and restaurant rather than a hushed hotel lobby, and staff on the ground floor are on hand around the clock.
Downstairs is very much the heart of the place. The kitchen has built a reputation for Indian-inspired cooking, with curries that stand out and a Sunday roast worth planning a weekend around, backed up by a solid range of beers and drinks at the bar. Breakfast is included too, though it runs simpler than the evening menu. There's a garden for sitting outside, free WiFi throughout, meeting rooms for those working while away, and free on-site parking, which is a genuine rarity this close to central London.
Kilburn High Road itself has plenty of pubs, bars and places to eat within easy reach, and the location gives quick access into London's West End and the wider transport network. Staff are consistently described as friendly and welcoming, which goes some way to explaining why people keep coming back to this particular corner of Kilburn.

We loved every minute of our 4 night stay. The staff are lovely, the pub is beautiful and our room (queen) was heavenly. We felt very spoilt. We really enjoyed breakfast and bar snacks and meals were delicious. Our room faced the street so there was a bit of noise of daily life in the area. We are pretty sound sleepers, so had no issue. 2 train stations in easy walk and bus stop directly in front. We will certainly be recommending this unique place to stay.

We had a lovely 3 night stay. Our room was beautiful, very comfortable bed. It was on the street side of the building, so quite a bit of street/traffic noise, but probably not much can be done about that. Really great breakfast. Lovely, helpful staff. Great proximity to a couple of different train stations, with lots of food and supermarket options around. Highly recommend!

Our second stay as The Black Lion is very convenient for Lords. Two overground stations and an underground in walking distance too. The staff are friendly, the pub offers a variety of beers as well as good food. The rooms are spacious and comfortable in a grade II listed building.
