About The Warwick by Aura Collection

The Warwick by Aura Collection occupies a small townhouse property on Warwick Way, with just 10 rooms giving it a scale closer to a guesthouse than a large hotel. Each room comes with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi, along with drinks available in the room, and staff are on hand around the clock at the 24 hour reception.

There's no in-house restaurant, but the surrounding streets make up for it, with pubs, bars and eateries all close by, alongside other entertainment options nearby. The location near Victoria Station means straightforward access to the rest of London, whether for a day of sightseeing or moving on elsewhere by train.

Feedback from stays has been mixed, with a rating of 3.3 out of 5 from 82 reviews, so this suits travellers after a simple, well-located base rather than a polished luxury stay. For anyone wanting an unfussy place to sleep near Victoria, with the city's attractions within easy reach, it does the job.

Perfect easy check in! What a great base for exploring London, and a day trip to Brighton was so easy from here. Room was super comfortable with pristine bed linen and towels. Bathroom was clean and functional with a great shower! Nice quality shampoo and shower gel included. The building itself was quiet so instantly felt relaxed and comfortable away from the hustle and bustle of London. Will definitely be returning to The Warwick on our next London visit!

We stayed in this self check-in hotel for 5 nights and it's only after our arrival that I saw all the mixed opinions about it but I have to say that we were satisfied anyway. We were in the room number 4 which is well-furnished and decorated, with a very comfortable mattress & cushions. We were not, as other people, bothered by the size of the room, it was highly sufficient for sleeping and taking showers. In my opinion, the "issues" here are: - the bedroom door which is not noise and light proof enough (the door is directly in the doorway of the hotel, you can hear everything and see the light under the door when you are in your bed); - all the marks and stains on the walls, you might want to clean or paint that; - a longer shower curtain; - the morning of our departure, at 6am, we didn't have water in the bathroom anymore, we couldn't even flush the toilets. The hotel is very well located, you can do everything by foot. We paid more that 800€, but even though we were not highly disappointed and despite all the good things, we don't think that this was worth this much.

Overall a good experience. As noted in a lot of the reviews, the rooms are quite small, but we honestly didn’t mind because we were out doing stuff the whole time so we only slept and showered there. It’s a self checkin similar to an Airbnb but Kevin reached out the day before checkin through WhatsApp to confirm everything and get us ready for checkin the next day. Most of the bad reviews are things I was already aware of before we booked the place so not sure if people weren’t paying attention or just weren’t prepared for a trip abroad (self checkin, lack of internet/data on their smartphones, size of rooms, etc.), but we got our international roaming taken care of beforehand which made checkin a breeze. Room has air conditioning which is nice because most of London doesn’t. You also have the option to keep the window open as well. Shower was hot, towel rack was heated, coffee maker and electric kettle included, but only water source is the bathroom sink. I’d recommend to the owners to supply each room with a couple of bottles of water. The hangers are now wooden, not cardboard as mentioned in some of the other reviews. Our tv remote was iffy, worked when it wanted to, but could be worse (it’s a 2 star hotel). The toilet paper holder was still broken as mentioned in a previous review and there aren’t a ton of horizontal surfaces to set things down on. Size of rooms can make it hard for two people to go through their luggage as well. Bed is VERY comfortable. You might hear other guests coming and going, but not enough to where I lost any sleep. If you’re American, you have to remember these buildings are older than our entire country so be open minded. Overall, great trip, great location with easy access to restaurants, shops, underground stations, very walkable neighborhood, etc. Friendly staff that’s easy to reach by phone or WhatsApp. Biggest improvement I wanted to see was complimentary bottle water, but you know, first world problems. Would book again for sure!

We stayed in room 1 Apart from the room being small, there was no bin for putting rubbish, window didn’t open so couldn’t let fresh air in, extractor fan in bathroom didn’t work even though we had the switch on so room was very damp and steamy. The tv also didn’t work half the time and kept freezing and turning off by itself, curtains were about to fall off the rails, hotel needs general maintenance really. Other thing that was bothering us was builders outside our window at half 7 in the morning. Other than that was not the £750 we were expecting. Disappointed.
