About The Welbeck Hotel by IHG

Breakfast at The Welbeck Hotel by IHG runs to a proper buffet spread alongside cooked-to-order dishes, a good start before a day spent around Marylebone and the West End. There's a bar on site too, along with a restaurant, so guests aren't obliged to head out for every meal, though plenty of eating and drinking options sit nearby on the surrounding streets.

The hotel itself spans eight floors and 164 rooms, each with air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom and a complimentary minibar. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, and practical extras include a lift, laundry service, luggage storage and business facilities for anyone travelling for work. A gym on site covers a workout without needing to leave the building.

The Welbeck Street address puts guests within easy reach of Oxford Street's shops, Regent Street and the British Museum, in a stretch of London that stays fairly quiet despite the central position. There's no parking at the property, so those arriving by car should plan accordingly, but staff are noted for being consistently attentive and ready to help with whatever guests need during their stay.

Beautiful hotel, but definitely has some areas that could be improved. Pros: - We arrived at 12pm intending to drop off our luggage and return for the expected 3pm check-in. We were informed we would be able to check in early, which was great. - Service by front desk staff is great. - There is a bar and room service provided. The mushroom soup was quite good, much better than expected from a hotel with no formal restaurant on site. - There is a complimentary minibar that is restocked daily with coke, diet coke, bottled water, milk, crisps, and kettle corn. - Room size isn't terrible considering the location. - It is located in a beautiful part of town, slightly off the main street so it is much quieter and calmer outside. - The nearest tube/bus station is around a 7 minute walk, along with multiple cages, restaurants, pharmacies, and convenience stores. The Cons: - For over $300/night, I expected a closer attention to detail in regards to the room's cleanliness. The bathroom floor had water on it when we first entered. The flush button did not look clean. The kettle was dusty and needed to be washed before use. - While the bathroom is very nicely decorated, there is a major design flaw with the shower. The small glass shower wall does little to keep water inside the shower, and leads to the entire bathroom floor flooding. While there are floor towels provided, this is definitely not something expected from such a hotel.

We returned yesterday after a two-night stay at the Welbeck Hotel, and what an incredible experience we had! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, making us feel at home straight away. Our room was beautiful, with lovely décor and thoughtful touches such as a complimentary minibar, hairdryer, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was stunning, and the shower was honestly one of the best I've ever experienced in a hotel! We also paid for the inclusive breakfast, which included a choice of a cooked breakfast from the menu as well as access to the buffet. I would definitely recommend it as it was well worth paying the little extra, and the quality of the food was excellent. We stayed here while I was attending the Harry Styles concert at Wembley, and the location was perfect. It's within easy reach of Bond Street Tube station, and the staff were more than happy to help with directions. When we returned late after the concert, the team were just as welcoming, and having the doormen there made us feel safe arriving back at the hotel. The hotel was spotless throughout, and even the lobby smelled amazing! I honestly couldn't fault our stay and would highly recommend the Welbeck Hotel to anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable hotel with exceptional staff in a fantastic location. We would happily stay here again.

This is a perfect hotel for a comfortable night in one of London best neighborhoods. Located in a quiet street but only 6-7 minutes walk to all the action and almost directly on the Elizabeth Line. Service was top notch. The building itself is fantastic and although its not going to compete with a true 5 star hotel ,the service can. Everyone at the front desk is so nice and accommodating. If you have IHG status , they honor the program well. I feel they treat guests like family and honestly enjoyed the overall experience here better than some of the more expensive hotels in the city. The room was very well appointed and clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room and bathroom have character unlike a boring cookie cutter hyatt or Marriott. Breakfast was highs and lows with some pastures tasting amazing and fresh baked and others not so much. Either way, very good and a nice full English in addition to the Buffett. This is my new favorite IHG hotel in London. It’s a small, simple and amazingly clean hotel and bonus … the AC works amazing !!! Thank you for the great stay and great service.

We had a wonderful stay at The Welbeck Hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location is excellent - on a beautiful, quiet street, yet just a short walk from Oxford Street, Marylebone, and other main attractions. There are plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby, making it the perfect base for exploring London. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay - always friendly, approachable, professional, and genuinely happy to help with anything we needed. A special thank you to Sanjeewa, the Duty Manager, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with every request. He truly cared about making sure our family had the best possible stay. Youseff at reception was always welcoming, smiling, and ready to assist. Pho, the Breakfast Manager. He was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. The breakfast was very good and excellent service every day. Thank you to the entire team for making our family holiday so memorable. We look forward to staying at The Welbeck Hotel again on our next visit to London!
