My Neighbours the Dumplings Clapton

Came here for my girlfriend’s birthday and we both had the best time. The service was amazing and all the staff were super friendly and attentive. The ambience was relaxed and fun and the food was fantastic. We had dimsum, chicken wings and pork belly and they were all cooked perfectly. The only thing that could improve the place would be beer on draft but the imported beers were great and their cocktails were fun and very tasty too so it’s not deep. We will be back!!

My neighbours the dumplings is such an atmospheric place to eat. The decor is so beautiful and feels like you’ve walked into a separate world when you sit down to eat, we loved that! Food is brought out as it is ready and they suggest 4-5 dishes per person and that everything is for sharing. We opted for 6 between two and then had a dessert one to share and this did us fine. If you were really hungry I would go for a few more though. Every dish was delicious, and the dumplings are so fresh they’re still wafting steam at the table 😋. We had the chicken and prawn dumplings which were beautifully spiced. We also had the fried crab dumplings that come with the brightest green sauce to dip in, which were fantastic. I would also recommend the chicken wings which were so sticky and crunchy and the crispy pork belly which comes with a honey and mustard sauce. You roll this up in the salad leaves with rice and some marinated radish and you can get really hands on and eat something packed with flavour. The atmosphere is super easy going and gives a real ‘dig in’ approach. The staff are very approachable in this way too and the cocktails offer twists on the classics using addition syrups such as pendang leaf which make them that bit more enticing! The dessert dumplings are filled with chocolate and just make a nice end to the meal - they don’t blow you away but it’s nice to have a different take on a sweet treat to round off with! Our meal cost just over £100 for the two of us, with a cocktail and dessert so I think it’s well worth the visit. We arrived as a walk in on a Tuesday evening at around 7 and were seated straight away, however multiple people did the same afterwards and had to be turned away. I would definitely book in advance if you’re able to. One last thing to remember here is to check the number of pieces in each dish - some are odd numbers which left us fighting to share between two!!

Spent close to £70 for a meal with my partner - but my goodness was it tasty! Incredible atmosphere inside as well. Very handy ordering system, you're given a slip of paper with all the options on and asked to check off the plates you want. A great place to go for a special occasion

my favourite place in London! (As almost Londoner) - the staff are so lovely, the food is absolutely insane - feels like travelling to a different world, a yummy fantasy - the duck special is absolutely insane. All dumplings are so good! And very pretty! ✨🩷🥟🥟🥟🥟
