What diners say
We had a fantastic meal here and couldn’t fault the experience. The food was delicious, arrived promptly, and everything was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a lovely place to relax and enjoy a meal. A special mention goes to Lowri, who provided excellent service throughout our visit. She was incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel valued from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and her positive attitude really added to the overall experience. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend this pub restaurant to anyone looking for great food and outstanding customer service.

July 2025. Food is delicious and more adventurous than most pub menus. For starters, The spicy baked Camembert and the Korean chicken were tasty and generous sharing portions. The smoked trout mango wasabi combination was delicious (more mango would be good). The lobster thermidor was a bit heavy on the mustard (or radish not sure which, but it was too strong and so could only barely taste the lobster). For mains, the flat iron steak was cooked just right, carmellised and succulent. The battered fish was light and crisp, with beautiful white flaking fish inside. Burger with bacon was really good, two thin (smashed?) crispy burger patties, I tend to prefer a thicker succulent burger but I know the thin smashed patties are more trendy at the moment, and this one was good. the chips were great, the fries were a little pale and underdone. Pie of the day was DUCK !!!! Never had duck pie before. It was soooo goooood! It came with mash and braised cabbage which were both delicious. Went at lunchtime on a weekday, not busy, maybe 15 customers. Service was excellent. The front bar has standing tables and high stools, great for stand-up drinking and chatting. The back half is set up for dining. Overall, really good food, much better than expected and way more interesting than the average pub menu. Would definitely recommend.
