Set in the same wild Powys hills that inspired Led Zeppelin's acoustic retreat, Bron Yr Aur offers a single luxury bell tent with sheepskin rugs, ambient lighting and cast-iron campfire cooking kit. A welcome hamper greets arrivals, and the real draw here is the chance to record your own music in the on-site studio or join art workshops led by resident Ruth Roe and local creatives. Scott Roe runs sessions on off-grid living, demonstrating how Bron Yr Aur generates its own power and grows fruit and veg.

The location is remote but superb—forests, lakes and mountains all within reach—and while it's tiny (just the one pitch), facilities include a shower block and washing-up area. No dogs, but campfires are welcome, and you're well placed for climbing, cycling, canoeing and walks that could fill a fortnight. A thoroughly peaceful, creative hideaway.
