I stayed in the shepherds hut with my mum this week and it was honestly the break we both needed. It was so clean, so comfy and so warm!!!! It rained all evening and we sat out with the fire pit under the canopy. The host was so lovely and has obviously made a huge effort to make it such a great place to stay in. There’s a really gorgeous country bistro pub up the road walking distance and a canal walk. It’s somewhere you can go to just escape a night. We will be back, this time with our partners! Thank you for a perfect stay.

Really lovely, clean and quiet campsite. Just what we needed when we had some time off work. Carrie works hard to maintain this meticulous site. Showers and toilets immaculate, good washing up area and chickens very entertaining. My partner enjoyed some of the home produced duck eggs. We were blessed with the weather and enjoyed taking our dog for a few nice walks in the surrounding area. Other campers were friendly and considerate. We were happy to stay on the site for the couple of days here so even though there is a pub nearby we didn’t try it. We would definitely return to this beautiful part of the country and would stay here again. A very enjoyable stay, made all the more pleasant by our friendly host. Hope to see you again Carrie.

My friend booked this site for us both, to meet up for a weekend of walking with our respective campervans . We don’t need electric, so this place was perfect for us both, a large flat dry field. The self contained shower and toilet facilities, are some of the cleanest we have ever experienced and the host was very friendly. Book direct for a slightly cheaper rate if you can. We will next time and a return visit is guaranteed.
