About Providence Inn
Pitching up by a pub – always a fine idea. At the Providence Inn in Yedingham, about 15 minutes from Malton, you can settle in for a proper Yorkshire dinner (the beef and potato pie and pork belly get particular praise), then stroll across the garden to your tent without worrying who's driving. The welcome here is genuinely warm, and the atmosphere relaxed and informal – pick your own pitch, light a barbecue or firepit (just keep it off the grass), and make yourself at home. Facilities are basic but clean, with showers and toilets scrubbed twice daily.
Anglers with a licence can try their luck on the River Derwent for pike and other species. The pub serves home-cooked food seven days a week (book ahead; kitchen closes at 5pm Sundays), and there's a generous play area to keep kids entertained while grown-ups nurse their pints in the beer garden. Do expect some evening noise from the pub – such is the way with these places – and respect the midnight quiet-time for neighbours.

What visitors say
Just left this place after a two night stay. Upon arrival staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub food was delicious and atmosphere was great. Everyone was very welcoming including the gorgeous Charlie (owners dog). Facilities on site were great, Showers/Toilets were clean. Child’s park was a bonus in which my two young children age 3 & 4 loved and plenty of walks to do with the dogs. Looking forward to visiting back in the summer.

Stayed there Sat 6th June, had the whole field to ourselves, food was great, drinks were great, sunset was amazing, and the house opposite that had music blasting all night was also great, really added to the night listening to them.

Safe to say one of the best pubs about, homely, friendly, with good food and good ale! Locals are always chatty and as the sign says, “where you enter as strangers and leave as friends”. Also very dog friendly with free treats, doggy menu and a great riverside walk with beautiful views right next to the campsite! Proper country pub and a real haven!

Just happened to be passing this pub when the four of us were hungry. I am so glad we went in. I had the best pork belly I've ever had. My husband had scampi and other two had steak and ale pie. All meals were delicious 😋 Puddings were amazing too and large portions. If I lived in that area I'd be there regularly.
