Pear Tree Farm Cottages - No. 1 The Stables
North Yorkshire
The Stables is a converted farm building in Ebberston, a village on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. It's a compact, single-storey property with everything on ground level: a bedroom with a 4ft 6in double bed, an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, an open-plan living and dining space, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking rather than holiday shortcuts. A utility room houses the washing machine, and you have access to a shared tumble dryer. Electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.
The cottage has its own small lawned garden with seating, private parking for one car, and gas heating to keep things warm. It sleeps two and welcomes one pet. There's a pub within easy reach, and a shop about a mile away. The location suits walkers and families exploring Dalby Forest, which lies close by with its paths and play areas. Pickering, with its steam railway and Norman castle, is 7 miles off. The coast at Scarborough, Filey and Whitby is within reach for a day trip, and York is roughly 45 minutes' drive if you fancy the medieval city.
