About easyHotel Manchester City Centre

Rooms at easyHotel Manchester City Centre start from as little as £29 a night, reflecting its position as a no-frills, budget-focused base rather than a destination in itself. Spread across five floors on Dale St, the hotel has 115 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and free WiFi. Some rooms are genuinely compact, so this suits guests after a place to sleep rather than space to spread out, though beds and showers are well kept and comfortable.

Practical touches include a lift, luggage storage, drinks available in the room and accessible rooms for those who need them. There's no parking on site, so it works best for those arriving by train or on foot. Staff are noted for being helpful, which counts for a lot in a hotel built around efficiency rather than extras.

The city-centre address puts pubs, restaurants and entertainment venues within easy reach, and a golf course and watersports are also listed nearby for those wanting to venture further. Pets are welcome too. It's a straightforward, well-located option for a short stay in Manchester.

HonestReview

I could not wait to come home from vacation to write a review about this hotel. In my 15 years of travelling this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. You cannot call these amenities "hotel rooms". There is no room. They divided every floor into dozens of "cubicles" with no air flow, no AC, nothing and what you pay for is one of those cubicles that is so small and cramped that you will become claustrophobic on the spot. This is more of a hostel or a dormitory than a hotel. The "rooms" are not separated by real walls either. Whatever they use to separate the rooms is so cheap that you hear every single thing coming from the other rooms. You will hear people breathe, cough, and even pee from the "rooms" around yours as if you were all sharing the same apartment. I genuinely considered leaving the moment I checked in and walking over to an actual hotel. The only positive thing this place has going on for it is that the location is good and the staff is nice (not all of them but most of them). But this is absolutely not worth the money you are paying or you think you are saving. There are FAR better alternatives nearby with the same location quality and actual real rooms.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable and lovely stay and I would definitely recommend this place. Location was perfect and the price was reasonable along with clean and comfortable rooms, as expected. Noise insulation could deter some, but to be honest, it’s not that bad and the tenants are usually respectful and quiet. As a student I would stay here everytime! Thank you so much to the staff for making it a perfect experience

The hotel is like flying with Ryanair, cheap and fast, but any extras you want is where the price increases. They cut check in and check out times to get you to pay. Rooms are a bit small but enough for what I wanted and the cleaning was good. If you are looking for something cheap where you value more your stay in the city than in the hotel, go for it. AC was clearly a plus, if you see the comments about not being able to use it for more than 2 hours, that is a power saving setting on the AC controller, you can change it to remove the limitation 😌

First off, the location is awesome! Absolutely unbeatable, even. The receptionists were also all super nice. The rooms are what you can expect for this price - not very spacious and no storage opportunity, but equipped sufficiently for a few nights. The brick walls are absolutely charming and the AC worked well, although we would have loved the opportunity to open a window. Having your own bathroom is a huge plus, however make sure you only book a double room if you are REALLY comfortable with each other. The walls to the bathroom are made of glass, some of which is clouded but still relatively see though so you will have a first row seat to your roommates hygiene routine. The door also doesn't lock and, instead of a handle, has a straight up hole which enables direct eye contact between the bed and toilet while seated. We just stuffed it with a towel to give some illusion of privacy 😅 The walls to the other rooms are also really thin so you can hear people on the same floor sneeze. Still, very fair room for the price and truly amazing location!
