About Gardens Hotel

Gardens Hotel gives guests a straightforward city-centre room with drinks available on request and a lift to save the stairs, across a building of 101 rooms in the heart of Manchester. It's a functional base rather than a boutique stay, and it's worth knowing that some rooms have been reported as tired or in need of better upkeep, with occasional odour issues - worth bearing in mind when you book.

Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar on site, plus free WiFi and luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures. Breakfast is a particular strength here, with a wide enough spread to satisfy most guests before a day out. Pets are welcome too, making it a practical option for those travelling with an animal in tow.

The location on Picadilly puts guests close to Manchester Piccadilly station, about 0.72 miles away, with pubs, restaurants and other eateries within easy walking distance for evening plans. Tatton Park is also within reach for a day trip out of the city. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the overall value for money is one of the hotel's strongest selling points.

The hotel is clean and decent, but the building is old, the doors aren't modern, the walls look dated, and the room we stayed in was small and enclosed with no window. The service was okay; the staff were friendly and treated us with kindness and respect. Room service was good in terms of cleanliness. Its location is good, right in the heart of Manchester, close to supermarkets like Lidl and Primarket, the train station, and not far from the airport.

For a budget hitel, its 5 stars in terms of staff location comfort and room cleanliness. It is exceptionally well served by its staff. Ryan was great at reception as was the breakfast waiter who was very good at keeping the dining room flowing, looking after people swiftly and the breakfasts were delivered swiftly. Thank you.

The hotel was dated but for the price and location it did the job. We had breakfast in the morning and Jay was incredible, he was by himself and absolutely smashed it! Despite the lack of help he did the company proud! Kept his cool, served everyone as efficiently as he could and apologized to everyone he interacted with. He was the best part about the hotel

This hotel was extremely disappointing. The entire place smelled strongly of weed and mould. It was very dirty and clearly very old and poorly maintained. There were chips and damage on every wall, dirty windows, and an unclean bathroom. Even the staircase felt unsafe and was apparently not allowed to be used because it’s collapsing. I booked a twin room x1double x1 single bed as stated on the pictures and I was given a room with 2 single beds .. I asked could this be changed and I was just told NO! The bed sheets were dirty as well. I would not stay here again. I am so disappointed my money was wasted on this hotel. The pictures are nothing like what the hotel is,
