About Hilton Garden Inn Manchester Emirates Old Trafford
Talbot Road places Hilton Garden Inn Manchester Emirates Old Trafford right alongside the cricket ground, with tram links running into central Manchester for anyone who wants to explore beyond the boundary rope. It's a modern, purpose-built hotel with 150 rooms, several offering balconies that look straight out over the pitch.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and drinks available in-room, with family and accessible options among the 150 available. A restaurant and bar cover evening meals, while breakfast draws particular praise for its range of choices. There's also a snack bar, room service, and a gym for those keen to stay active during their stay. Free on-site parking is a welcome bonus in a city where that's not always guaranteed.
Beyond the hotel, guests have easy reach of Manchester's wider entertainment, pubs and restaurants, plus a nearby golf course for those wanting a different kind of sport. Staff are consistently noted for being helpful and attentive, and the outdoor seating and garden areas offer a quieter spot to unwind between matches or meetings.

Great stay - with a couple of small gaps Brilliant location, literally right on the cricket ground - proper unique spot. Loved the room overlooking the pitch, great view and a nice touch. Would definitely come back, especially on a match day. Only downside is the amenities could be better - something simple like a water cooler in common areas would go a long way. Solid 4 stars overall.

I booked a short stay whilst in the area for work. On checking in the day before via the Hilton app, I was very surprised to find I'd been upgraded to a pitch view room with balcony, despite Garden Inn not being part of the Hilton "Space available room upgrade" member benefit. Excellent! Parking was free and there are also some EV charge points not listed on Zapmap or similar, although they're a bit on the pricey side at 73p oer kWh. Check in was very efficient and I was given two cans of water and a box of chocolates which was a lovely welcome. The room was large, clean and comfy with a very big balcony to sit out on for the evening. Air con was very efficient in the hot weather, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom a very good size with modern fittings. The TV in the room does the job although the number of TV channels was quite limited. I chose the free breakfast as my Hilton MyWay benefit. The selection of English and continental options was great, along with some American style waffles. A great hotel, efficient staff and service, and well connected to the city centre via the Metrolink. Free parking so close to the city is also a massive bonus.

This hotel is in a great location near old trafford and Manchester United stadium. The hotel itself is surrounding the cricket stadium, which is a very cool view. We stayed 3 nights (I ran the Manchester Marathon). This is a perfect location to stay at for running the marathon as it's very close to the start (for 2026 at least). The rooms weren't anything special, but they got the job done. There's a small fridge in the room which was room temp. We called the front desk to ask about this and they said it was more meant to be a cooler (I'm still confused on that, since a light turned on inside it and there were shelves). We got a bucket of ice, moved the shelves around, and made it into our own cooler. No microwave. Shower was nice but gets VERY hot, beware! The walls had clearly been repaired recently and the spots weren't painted over. Breakfast daily was wonderful and all staff were very helpful. There are two on-site restaurants and a little area near the front desk where you can purchase snacks and drinks. We would definitely stay again.
