About Hotel Football Old Trafford a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Sir Matt Busby Way runs right past Old Trafford, and Hotel Football Old Trafford a Tribute Portfolio Hotel stands close enough to the stadium that several of its 133 rooms look straight out over the pitch. Spread across ten floors, the hotel leans into its setting with a football theme throughout, while staying comfortable enough for business trips as well as match-day visits.

Rooms are air-conditioned and en-suite, with family and accessible options available, plus drinks in room and room service for those who'd rather not head out. Café Football handles the dining, serving casual food alongside a bar, snack bar and breakfast service, and there's a gym on site for guests wanting to keep active. Meeting rooms and event space make it workable for conferences too, and a lift serves all floors. Parking is chargeable and located nearby rather than on site.

Beyond football, Salford Quays is within reach for a change of scene, and the surrounding area has restaurants, pubs and entertainment options close by. Electric vehicle charging is available, and luggage storage and laundry service cover the practical side of a stay, whether that's built around a match or not.

Hotel Football made our Manchester stay feel truly special. Our Class of ’92 room was a highlight—the 1992-inspired décor and thoughtful touches brought the theme to life and made the experience memorable. Breakfast was excellent, and the location beside Old Trafford is unbeatable. Watching the stadium at night and waking up to that view was something I will never forget. I would happily stay here again on a future visit to Manchester. Highly recommended for any Class of ’92 fan!

Stayed here twice for work. Rooms are basic but relatively clean and functional. Free mini bar with local snacks and beverages. First time I stayed the shower tap didn’t work but reception were helpful when I reported it. They provided slippers and a dental kit on request. Breakfast is small but you can also order omelettes etc. which was good. Overall it was fine for a work trip/ conference/ match convenience.

Great location for Old Trafford and getting the tram into the city. The hotel has some lovely touches to Man Utd and football in general. Rooms are comfy with good bed and shower. Overall the rooms feel like a premier inn and you pay the extra for who owns the hotel. It was perfect for our weekend in Manchester but unless we were back at Old Trafford for a match we wouldnt rebook.

This hotel is excellent for football lovers, and my kids absolutely adore it. We even booked two rooms for our stay. However, the noise level is a major issue. The 1st floor is incredibly loud, and the soundproofing is very poor—you can constantly hear doors slamming open and shut. It’s been very difficult to get any sleep. Be warned: Extremely loud music even after 11 PM.
