About Premier Inn Manchester Old Trafford
Premier Inn Manchester Old Trafford is a purpose-built, seven-floor hotel on Watersreach, offering 184 rooms with lift access throughout. It's a straightforward, contemporary block rather than a period building, designed for practical stays close to the stadium and Trafford Park rather than for architectural charm.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, drinks facilities and free WiFi, with accessible rooms also available. There's a restaurant on site serving breakfast with a good range of choices, and 24 hour reception for late arrivals or early starts. On-site parking is available for a charge, though space is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so it's worth planning ahead if driving.
The location is a genuine draw, with a tram stop nearby providing easy access into Manchester city centre and to Old Trafford itself. Golf, fishing, horse riding, pubs and restaurants are all within reach nearby. Staff are generally helpful and the rooms comfortable, though a handful of stays have noted service can be inconsistent.
What guests say
We visited Manchester on 29/5/26 and stayed at Premier Inn Old Trafford, in a Premium Plus room, really happy from start to finish, Debbie on reception was great, really cheerful and helpful, a lovely welcome.. room very clean and comfy, lovely rainfall shower.. great location for the 02 Warehouse. Fab breakfast in morning well worth the money filled us up nicely for journey home. All staff seemed happy which was nice to see. Will be back.

Stayed for one night while attending a conference nearby. Got the room for a great price compared to others in the same location. Positives are a good and clean room. A nice breakfast spread, and a nice gesture to get a discount on the parking fee. A few minor hiccups: 1. Check-in: Tried to check in through the kiosk at 7 PM for a 3 PM check-in time, for some reason it kept giving me a message that my room isn't ready yet. Evene up having to wait half an hour to get checked-in manually. Not ideal – I'd really appreciate kiosks that actually work instead of just being there to cut down on staff. 2. The room had a weird odour, probably coming from the bathroom/toilet. It would be great to have some room freshener around. 3. It was quite a warm day and for some reason the air conditioner/thermostat kept turning off despite me turning it back on, not sure why. Overall, the stay was quite comfortable and I would recommend it.

We always book Premier Inns when we visit the UK as they are great value, comfortable and the breakfasts are great. This hotel was no exception. But, we'd definitely prefer a walk-in shower and one major problem that we came across is that, as my husband sleeps with a CPAP machine, we need a proper plug socket by the bed. This seems like an unfortunate oversight in Premier Inns but should be addressed as CPAP machines are not all that uncommon. Also, there were 3 of us in our room so why only 2 cups??

Nice room with good views. Comfy bed and good shower/bath. Location ideal for Old Trafford, Salford area and Imperial War Museum. Took a few presses of the buzzer to get someone to come out to reception the couple of times I needed them but bar that great stay.
