About King Street Townhouse
Breakfast and afternoon tea are among the things King Street Townhouse does best, served in a setting that feels considerably calmer than its city centre address might suggest. There's also a bar and restaurant on-site for evening drinks or a proper meal, with room service, packed lunches and kids' meals available for those who'd rather stay in.
Rooms are well styled and comfortable, with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms known for their strong showers, free WiFi and drinks in the room. Family and accessible rooms are available, and practical touches like laundry service, luggage storage and a lift make it easy to settle in. The hotel's spa is a particular highlight, built around a rooftop infinity pool with views across the city, alongside a gym and sauna for guests who want to unwind properly.
Set on Booth Street in the heart of Manchester, the hotel is close to bars, restaurants and entertainment, with a golf course and watersports also nearby for those looking further afield. Staff are consistently described as attentive and professional, and despite the central position, the atmosphere inside is notably peaceful.

What guests say
My stay at King Street Townhouse Hotel & Spa was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is stunning, with beautiful, luxurious rooms and exceptional cleanliness throughout. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, creating a truly elegant and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The spa facilities were amazing – the perfect place to unwind and recharge. The food was absolutely delicious, with every meal prepared to a very high standard. Even though I only stayed for one night and spent a few hours in the spa, I returned home feeling completely relaxed, refreshed, and well-rested. It was exactly the escape I needed. I would highly recommend King Street Townhouse Hotel & Spa and would love to visit again in the future.

My husband and I enjoyed a short break at this boutique hotel in central Manchester in June 2025. Ideally located - a quiet street with v little noise but only a 5 minute walk away from bustling bars, shops and restaurants. We enjoyed breakfast and room service within the hotel itself with a great choice offered for both. I visited their spa which is based in the adjoining building. I enjoyed a blissful massage and as a guest of the hotel was then able to stay and enjoy the other communal facilities of the spa on a complimentary basis. What probably sets this hotel apart from other boutique hotels in the area is their lovely rooftop infinity pool. With great views and open air (during the warm weather) it felt really special. Being a converted Georgian building there is only one lift (elevator) which is small. This is often in use by the hotel’s staff (housekeeping etc) so you may have to wait a little while. No parking on site but discounted parking a short walk away. The staff were really warm and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

I have been to events on several occasions at the King Street Townhouse hotel and always had a very enjoyable time. My most recent visit was on last Sunday to attend a Commanderie de Bordeaux à Manchester Summer Lunch. I received a warm welcome from the Reception staff prior to ascending to the sixth floor Event space and the delightful terrace with stunning views of the Manchester skyline. The food at the Event was of an exceptionally high standard. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented, with highly professional service from the front of house Team. I should like to particularly commend Dennis and Omarion, who really went above and beyond. They were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They certainly delivered five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service!👏👏👏. It was a truly delightful and memorable afternoon, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended. I highly recommend this venue if you are planning a special party or event. You will not be disappointed. 👌👍

A lovely night’s stay in a ‘comfy’ room. Really big bed, stylish decor, robes/slippers ,coffee machine, teas ,well stocked minibar. Spa was a relaxing way to spend the next morning after a delicious breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyable entertainment in the Tavern with a violinist playing. A special mention to the extremely friendly and helpful staff, nothing seemed too much trouble.A particular mention to the porter Tom for excellent service and to the lovely Lizzy on reception who ‘saved the day’ by helping me retrieve my concert tickets! Assets to the establishment.
