About Sachas Hotel Manchester

Sachas Hotel Manchester is a sizeable six-storey building on Tib Street, with 223 rooms making it one of the bigger hotel options in the city centre. It's a straightforward, no-frills base rather than a boutique stay, but the scale means there's usually room availability and a lift serving all floors.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible rooms are available alongside standard doubles. Some guests have found rooms run warm, so it's worth bearing in mind if you're a light sleeper or visiting in summer. On site there's a restaurant and bar, plus meeting rooms for those travelling on business. Pets are welcome, though there's no parking at the property.

The location is the main draw: Tib Street sits within easy walking distance of Manchester's restaurants, pubs and entertainment venues, and transport links are close by for exploring further afield. Staff helpfulness has been inconsistent according to some visitors, but the rooms themselves are generally kept clean, and the central position makes this a practical choice for a short city stay.

I paid for 7 or 8 nights stay at this hotel whilst finding permanent residence and working in Manchester Piccadilly. I booked a no window room expecting a room without a window but still with air to breathe. This room was hot, sweaty and overall a big health concern. How a hotel continues to operate with these rooms is beyond me. I have been informed by several locals that this hotel is used for other services by locals as this hotel is one of the last that still charges half day rates. No need to use your imagination there. I stayed for 7 nights and left before the end of my stay thankfully due to finding more permanent residence. I was not asked how my stay was going for a long term stay, my room was made up only once on the last night (6th night) of my stay. I also was refused check in at 2pm (the allotted time on my email) and told to wait a further hour until 3pm for my room to be ready. Which is quite insane considering all they do is make the sheets and replace toilet paper. I will not be back and would not recommend this hotel. The subpar nature of everything in this hotel is baffling. How it continues to run amazes me but yet again I believe the back end and nightlife side of this hotel is what keeps it breathing.

It was an okay hotel, I wouldn't want to stay any longer than I did here. I understand I booked a room with no windows but I've been other places that at least had some form of air con or ventilation. It was very warm all night. There was a fan in the room that did help alot. The room didn't seem to have a big light/one that worked because I was in a pretty dim room, all that worked was the lamps that didn't provide much. The bathroom was the best bit, I really liked the size, the bath itself was good and the sink space and mirror were good to have. Despite the poor reviews of this hotel, I did give it a chance, I've been to the other Britannia hotels in the Manchester area and they were both a while heap better. I will say despite the negatives the staff were lovely and polite. And the reception area for the hotel was really beautiful. And the location was very convenient as it's in the city centre, but I would probably go a little further down the road to the other Britannia.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is my second stay at Sasha's Hotel in Manchester Piccadilly, and once again the service has been excellent. I was kindly upgraded to a family room, which was such a thoughtful surprise. It made a real difference and immediately made me feel welcome and valued as a returning guest. I'm going through a difficult time after fleeing domestic abuse, and the kindness, compassion, and understanding the staff have shown has meant more than I can say. They have gone above and beyond to make sure I feel safe, comfortable, and looked after. Thank you to Roger and everyone at Sasha's Hotel for your genuine care and outstanding hospitality. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Manchester.

Quite possibly the most unpleasant hotel experience I’ve ever experienced. Would try and avoid if possible. Don’t ignore the bad reviews like we did. Firstly the room had no window, this was something that wasn’t disclosed within the booking. This then lead to the room being way to had as there was no air conditioning. It was too hot to get any sleep, luckily we only stayed for one night. They provide fans but when there is no aircon or windows the fans just blow warm stale air around. Not making the experience any better. Staff were a bit blunt. They had 2 vending machines which had limited stock and were coins only, therefore without coins it was impossible to buy anything from them. The bathroom lacked basic amenities such as only providing 1 towel for 3 people. Finally the plugs next to the beds were non standard uk plugs which was frustrating considering most other hotels always have avaliable sockets. If you want a very dated hotel with no air condition and a lack of basic services this place is good for you.
