Back-to-basics touring pitches on a working equestrian farm near Burbage

About Suddene Park Farm

Suddene Park Farm combines a working equestrian centre with a deliberately simple touring site on genuine farmland a few miles south-east of Marlborough. Grass pitches look out across the Vale of Pewsey towards Savernake Forest and the Kennet and Avon Canal, both within easy reach on foot or by bike, and the livery yard alongside brings a bit of farmyard activity without intruding on the camping field itself.

Facilities are kept modest by design—electric hook-up is available on request, with basic water and waste points—which suits campers after a quiet, back-to-basics stay rather than a site full of entertainment. The farm's location makes it a useful base for walkers heading into Savernake or along the towpath towards Great Bedwyn and Pewsey, and it's a short drive back into Marlborough for shops and pubs. Dogs are welcome, and BHS-recognised coaching on site makes it a natural stop for anyone travelling with horses as well as tents or tourers.

We stayed several nights at Suddene Park Farm in August and absolutely loved it. Possibly the nicest CL campsite we have ever stayed at. It is a perfectly peaceful, serene site with beautiful, far reaching views. Sarah the owner is very friendly and helpful, and what made it for me, as a horse lover, is that this is an equestrian centre. The horses are lovely and beautifully cared for. All in all a truly 5 star experience.

Came to camp here for a couple of nights and ended up staying for a whole week. So quiet, peaceful and tranquil here, I absolutely love it. Sarah the campsite owner was so friendly, welcoming and helpful and her dog Rambo is the best! Amazing value too! Highly recommend!

Suddene Park Farm review.August 2019.\\nTwo nights on their grass pitch campsite £20.or £25 with hook up.(only saw the 4 hook ups)\\nPeaceful quiet, obliging owner and very welcoming.\\nIdeal for walking and as it's a horse establishment the riding is top class. I don't know if they offer any type of holiday horse/livery.\\n\\nCamp site.\\nExcellent easy access to water and chemical Disposal point .\\nToilet and wash basin available so tents very welcome.\\nRequires levelling block's.\\n\\nWell placed to walk to the Kennett and Avon canal and the Beam engines.\\n\\nquiet lanes for cycling..\\n\\nVery tidy establishment only downside is the bumpy concrete drive...\\n\\nEnjoyed our stay would definitely recommend for a peaceful get away .\\n\\nAnn.

Stayed there for 2 nights it was a lovely place very quiet with gorgeous views. Communication with the owner was spot on very nice friendly conversations. We had mains hook up but no toilet or shower block which wasn't a problem for us. Will definitely be going back again
