Marlborough's oldest coaching inn, dating from 1673, with five en suite rooms above a Wadworth ale pub known for its burgers.

About The Lamb Inn

The Lamb Inn has traded on The Parade since 1673, making it the oldest coaching inn in Marlborough, and still operates as a working local pub with five comfortable en suite rooms upstairs. Rooms come in twin, double and family configurations, each keeping a simple, unfussy style that suits the building's age without over-restoring it.

Downstairs, the bar serves Wadworth real ales alongside a menu built around smashed burgers, loaded waffle fries and a popular Sunday roast, plus regular live music and quiz nights that give the inn a proper local feel rather than a purely tourist-facing dining room. A cooked breakfast is included with every room booking.

The Parade sits just off the High Street, so the inn is within a couple of minutes' walk of the town's shops and restaurants, and it makes a good, unpretentious base for exploring Savernake Forest and Avebury, both a short drive away.

Huge refurbishment and absolutely beautiful inside. I had not been in here before, because of previous reviews BUT I have to say it is now bright, light, welcoming and the new owners have done a wonderful job of the interior and courtyard. The food and service was great as well - American Diner but all home made, tasty and incredibly well priced. BRAVO! We will be back and I’m pretty certain the whole of Marlborough and beyond will be too. Abbie was also amazing and really looked after us. Gemma and Nick xx

Went here for Sunday lunch and I can safely say it was the best vegan Sunday lunch I've had in a pub, the vegetables were cooked to perfection, it came with quorn steaks in amazing gravy, huge Yorkshire pudding and lovely cauliflower cheese. Quick service and friendly. Our group also had the lamb and roast chicken option, all were said to be absolutely delicious. Sadly we didn't have room for dessert but we will return when we're back in the area.
