About Willowbank Lodges

Tucked into the North Wessex Downs National Landscape near Pewsey, Willowbank Lodges offers a handful of Scandinavian timber lodges overlooking a large lake and nature ponds. Guests consistently praise the spacious, spotless interiors – fully equipped kitchens with dishwashers, smart TVs, and generous covered verandas perfect for dining outdoors while watching waterfowl and other wildlife. The peaceful setting and helpful, accommodating staff make this a firm favourite for unwinding.

Up to two dogs are welcome at no extra charge, though keeping them on-lead is wise given the resident ducks. Footpaths lead directly from the lodges: Savernake Forest is about ninety minutes on foot, or you can stroll to Pewsey Wharf for a pint at the waterside pub. The site's intimate scale – just a handful of pitches – and remote feel enhance the sense of seclusion, though Pewsey itself (home to the famous 1930s white horse) is only five minutes' drive when you need shops or services.

We recently stayed at Willowbank Lodges from March 27th to May 15th while waiting for our house purchase to go through, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to be during what was quite a stressful time. Nigel and the whole team were absolutely amazing throughout our stay. They were incredibly accommodating and understanding, especially as we had to extend our booking a few times and even move between lodges. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their flexibility made a huge difference to us. The location itself is just beautiful. Being surrounded by such lovely countryside really helped us relax and switch off when we needed to. We made the most of it with plenty of walks, runs and bike rides, and it ended up being the perfect way to get to know and fall in love with the area we’re now moving to. What could have been a very stressful waiting period turned into a really special experience for us, and that’s largely down to the care and support we received from Nigel and the team. Willowbank comes highly recommended. Thank you again for everything. Tony, Jaqui & Milo

This is by far the loveliest place I've had the privilege to stay at. The first moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. Not only by the amazing owner and team but also by the gorgeous embrace of the amazing feel of this place. The gorgeous willow trees, lakes and not to mention the extraordinary wildlife. Swans, gold finches and Kingfishers have been my daily delight! If you can't find peace and quiet here, I'm not sure you ever will :-)! A special mention to the incredible team who manage the place. Marcelina and Peter who clean the stunning lodges are impeccable. The absolute heart of the place! Always with a smile upon their faces and make it an absolute delight to come back. They truly go the extra mile for you. Absolutely spotless clean and a Heart of gold! Also the most loveliest gardener I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Peter you are a true gem! The wonderful couple who own Willowbank, I'll always be grateful and keep returning! Keep it special, it's truly a treasure!

Had a fabulous short break here and enjoyed every minute. The lodge is cleverly set out and has everything you might need. It’s actually very spacious and airy and has windows on all sides so you can look out into the woods and over the lake. The veranda is a great place to sit in the sunshine. The immediate environment is very quiet and peaceful and there are lots of walks along the canal or river or across the fields and up into the Downs.

What a lovely place to stay! A collection of 5 lodges in beautiful grounds. Super quiet and relaxing. Our group of 8 ladies stayed in 2 lodges on a paddleboarding weekend along the canals. Happy to recommended these super lodges.
