About The Merlin
The Merlin occupies a classical Palladian-style building at 36-39 High Street, dating from the 17th century and run by the same family for more than 30 years. The ten guest rooms are individually styled with private bathrooms, flat-screen televisions and free wifi, and several make the most of their upper-floor position with views over the town.
The Merlin operates on a rooms-only basis, without its own restaurant or breakfast service, relying instead on the many cafes, bars and restaurants that line the High Street just outside the front door, including a well-known seafood restaurant a few doors along. Free on-site parking is available, a genuine convenience on a street where parking is otherwise limited.
Its central location makes it an easy, walkable base for exploring Marlborough itself, while Savernake Forest, the Marlborough Downs and the Avebury monuments are all within a short drive for day trips out of town.

Ive stayed in many blackpool hotels the owner was nice and friendly very laid back but stricketed on rules waa a good laugh and basic standard room clean enough close to centre beach shops lots of cafes night clubs kid friendly stadf lovely bar down stairs games room pool snooker music and eating area i qent wirh 2 children me amy partnwr we had good bank holiday weekend price was good so if your looking for fun relax and party or just to lay nack its the merlin

I have stayed at various hotels in England, and the owner of The Merlin is one of the friendliest people I have encountered, with a wealth of knowledge. Staying at The Merlin is definitely a must for anyone contemplating visiting Marlborough, a gem in Wiltshire! The Merlin is situated just steps away from all restaurants and the market, which is worth the amble.

We had gone to attended a wedding and needed a place to crash. Found Merlin Hotel.. I had no expectations but the place is beautiful. Jus shows how less is more. Happy face at the reception to greet and very clean room. Beautiful place to stay 😀
