Cullompton sits on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Kingfisher Lodge sits deeper into that countryside, overlooking fishing lakes at Ponsford Ponds. The ground-floor lodge is entirely yours—two double bedrooms, each with an ensuite, both opening onto decking that faces the water. The living spaces are open-plan: a sitting room with a Smart TV and a kitchen fitted with electric cooking, a dishwasher, and everything needed to prepare meals. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included.
The decking is the heart of the place. A 4-person hot tub sits there overlooking the lakes, with garden furniture for sitting out. The property sits beside an unfenced lake, and fishing is available on-site at no extra cost—the ¾-acre pond holds mirror and common carp up to 10lbs along with silver fish, bream, roach, rudd and perch, with a specimen pond 220 yards away where carp run to 20lb. Parking for two cars is provided. The lodge does not accept children, and smoking is not permitted.

Lovely location. Utterly serene. Perfect for a relaxed break minutes from the motorway and you can't hear it at all. Just beautiful. Owners David and Suzanna are a joy.

We stayed in Jack's Hut , lovely secluded Shepherds hut with all mod cons and a hot tub. Several other huts spread out over the location. Butterleigh Inn under an hour walk away, with great food and drink.

We had a relaxing weekend away. The kingfisher lodge was very clean and tidy. We had so many fish from the lakes and they were all in excellent condition. Loved the hot tub. We will be back again.

Me and my wife stayed in the mallard round house from 29th aug to 1st sept for a quite get away break for her birthday And we loved it . Beautiful place and accommodation was top draw . Also the fishing was an added little bonus . Like a lot of people I spend a lot of time on selected carp waters chasing the perfect fish so this was never about the fishing . And as David the owner said it’s not sold as an out and out carp venue it’s a holiday retreat with a little bit of fishing to complement the stay and it did just that , although don’t think you’ll just pub chuck and bag up on all the ponds . But with a bit of thinking you can have some lovely fish . I had several fish and one cracking mirror knocking on the door of 24lb that I’d be happy to catch anywhere and the wife even had a few small but fun fish . Lovely to meet you David and thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful place Tony and Ashleigh jarvis
