Mid Devon

Step through the door of Moor Hen and you're in a compact, open-plan layout where living, dining and kitchen occupy one connected space. The bedroom and shower room branch off, keeping everything within reach. It's a single storey throughout, with the bed a zip-and-link super king that splits into two singles if needed. The shower cubicle, heated towel rail and toilet complete the facilities. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered.
The kitchen handles proper cooking: electric oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave. In the living area, an electric fire takes the edge off winter evenings, and the Smart TV picks up Freeview. Outside on the decking sits your private hot tub—capacity three—with garden furniture looking over the water. Ponsford Ponds has fishing on-site, stocked with carp, bream, roach, perch and other coarse fish; one pond holds specimen carp to 20lb. A single parking space is provided. The site sits near Cullompton, with the Blackdown Hills close by and Exeter cathedral city 20 minutes' drive. The property is not suitable for children, and smoking is not permitted.

Lovely location. Utterly serene. Perfect for a relaxed break minutes from the motorway and you can't hear it at all. Just beautiful. Owners David and Suzanna are a joy.

We stayed in Jack's Hut , lovely secluded Shepherds hut with all mod cons and a hot tub. Several other huts spread out over the location. Butterleigh Inn under an hour walk away, with great food and drink.

We had a relaxing weekend away. The kingfisher lodge was very clean and tidy. We had so many fish from the lakes and they were all in excellent condition. Loved the hot tub. We will be back again.

Me and my wife stayed in the mallard round house from 29th aug to 1st sept for a quite get away break for her birthday And we loved it . Beautiful place and accommodation was top draw . Also the fishing was an added little bonus . Like a lot of people I spend a lot of time on selected carp waters chasing the perfect fish so this was never about the fishing . And as David the owner said it’s not sold as an out and out carp venue it’s a holiday retreat with a little bit of fishing to complement the stay and it did just that , although don’t think you’ll just pub chuck and bag up on all the ponds . But with a bit of thinking you can have some lovely fish . I had several fish and one cracking mirror knocking on the door of 24lb that I’d be happy to catch anywhere and the wife even had a few small but fun fish . Lovely to meet you David and thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful place Tony and Ashleigh jarvis
