Mid Devon

Tiverton sits in the heart of Mid Devon, surrounded by farmland and rural walking country. West Middlewick Farm occupies high ground a short drive from the town, and The Old Creamery—a detached bungalow on the working farm—offers a self-contained base for groups wanting space and countryside quiet. The property sleeps 10 across four bedrooms: a kingsize with pull-out double bed, a double with ensuite shower, another double, and a twin. Two bathrooms serve the rest of the accommodation. One dog can stay free, though leads are essential in sheep country.
Everything happens on the ground floor. The living and dining room has a woodburner (initial fuel supplied), Freeview TV and DVD player. The kitchen is equipped for cooking from scratch, with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer. An enclosed patio with garden furniture opens directly from the house. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are all included; heating is oil-fired central. You'll have private parking for three cars, and the 120-acre grounds contain woodland and a fenced lake 500 yards from the property—note this if children will be exploring. Coarse fishing is available on site for an additional charge. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

We stayed here at the weekend and what a lovely location it is. Reasonably priced stay (we camped), the location makes the price well deserved. Staff are very accommodating e.g. sold us some oat milk from their restaurant when we didn't have any, little things like that. The restaurant itself has lovely food freshly sourced! Staff around the working farm also very accommodating, giving children carrots to feed the animals. Being surrounded by their lovely animals and a host of lovely walks makes you not even want to leave the campsite. Would recommend this camp site to anyone!

What a wonderful friendly place to stay! Beautiful farm shop with the most delicious treats. We got to meet the new born calves which the kids loved. They enjoyed the little play park and the open space to play too. Overall a great place to stay if you’re looking for something laid back and friendly
