Photo: Tintern Abbey Cottage

You step into Tintern Abbey Cottage through a front garden that frames the Abbey itself directly opposite. The ground floor opens into a living room with a woodburner and stone fireplace, a separate dining room, and a bedroom with an ensuite bath. Upstairs are two more bedrooms. The property is detached and fully yours for the duration of your stay, with space for six people across three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The kitchen has everything needed to cook proper meals—electric range, dishwasher, microwave, and a washing machine. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The rear garden is enclosed with seating and a barbecue; the front opens onto countryside views and the Abbey beyond. There is parking for four cars on site, an electric vehicle charging point, and a bike store. One dog is welcome. The cottage does not allow smoking.

Tintern is a small village on the Wye, surrounded by the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Abbey itself is the obvious draw, but the village also has pubs, restaurants, cafés and shops within walking distance. Families will find a play area, and there's a convenience store for supplies.

We had the most beautiful week at Tintern Abbey cottage. The stunning location is hard to beat, the village is full of interesting things to do and wonderful walks in and around the Wye Valley and the cottage is immaculate and comfortable - it even stays pleasantly cool in hot weather. What more can you ask? Fiona and Malcolm are terrific hosts who go out of their way to provide an excellent experience - the gorgeous fresh flowers all over the house were my favourite detail. Would heartily recommend.

Had a wonderful week at the cottage. What a stunning place with amazing views of the Abbey. The cottage had everything we could have wished for - cosy & warm with impeccable attention to detail. Fabulous coffee shops, hotels and inns within walking distance. Highly recommended The White Monk, Anchor Inn and, of course, the Abbey. We will definitely return for our next week of peace & tranquility! Thank you Fiona & Malcolm.

A beautiful cottage in the lovely Wye Valley. Well equipped and warm. Beautifully presented on arrival. Lovely walks from the door and Tintern Abbey just across the road to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have just returned after a fabulous weeks stay in Tintern Abbey Cottage with family and friends. What a beautiful cottage it is.......a real gem The property is surrounded by lovely countryside and set back from the village road. It has magnificent views of Abbey and in easy reach of many amenities. Inside doesn't disappoint either. It is very tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable and exceptionally well equipped . The beds are soooooo comfortable you really don't want to get up in the mornings. You really don't want for anything.........a true home from home. The property owners have thought of everything to make your holiday and enjoyable, relaxing and stress free. Should you have the need to contact them they are very helpful, friendly and obliging. We would highly recommend Tintern Abbey Cottage to anyone and we hope to return in the near future. We had a wonderful time........thank you
