Slainte Mhath

Moray

Moray's Speyside region centres on the River Spey, a landscape shaped by distilleries, mature woodland and rolling hills that stretch towards the Cairngorms. Slainte Mhath stands in this setting, a recently refurbished cottage with views down to the river and the Telford bridge. The ground floor holds everything: an open-plan living space with a wood burner and doors onto a balcony; a kitchen fitted for proper cooking with an oven, hob, dishwasher and coffee machine; two bedrooms with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as singles or doubles; and a walk-in shower room. Essentials like heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with wood for the burner to get you started.

A patio with furniture and a fire pit occupy the enclosed garden, while the balcony offers a place to sit with your morning coffee and watch the river. The Craigellachie Hotel is a short walk away, and the Fiddichside Inn—described as one of the smallest pubs in the Northeast—sits five minutes round the corner. Distillery tours, salmon fishing on the Spey itself, mountain biking at Glenlivet and Fochabers Monster, and golf courses dot the area. The Speyside Way footpath runs nearby for quieter days. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The property is accessed via steps from the roadside, and parking is available for one car in the garage, with space for others at the front and rear.
